With all-natural ingredients, the Keoki Sunsetís mahogany color hints at itís subtle balance of delicious, rich flavors. A slight roasted malt taste and good hop aroma gives this Hawaii beer a bittersweet chocolate complexity and a velvet-like body with a quaffable character.

Malts: 2-Row Brewers Malt, Carapils, White Wheat, Caramel Vienne, Carmel 120L
Hops: Simcoe, for bittering and Vanguard, for flavor and aroma

This was an excellent beer! Had it on tap at the Royal Kona on the big island. I am quite surprised that this has not scored better. it was a very flavorful malty brew with an perfect reddish color. Extremely refreshing and very drinkable either at a hot Kona afternoon or at a perfect red sunset!

Pint purchased from The Lighthouse Bistro on Kauai Island on 04/08/2012. Colour: Dark brown with red hues. Minimal head. Nose: Lots of caramel covering well-roasted malt. Plant vegetation and small traces of floral. Lots of swirling brings out some pureed tomato. Taste: Medium sweet, medium-light bitter, medium-light sour. Caramel coats mouth on-set, then the hops emerge and bring the toastiness with them. Finish is slight sour and small tough of mushroom appears....lingering bittnerness.

Hazy brownish glow with a dense tan head and a cloudy appearance - nice! Aroma of caramel, raisins, light caster sugar and a little grapes and nuts - pretty good. Medium-bodied; Assertive hops at first with a lot of pit fruit and caramel tucked in with a little earthy and metallic aftertaste. Aftertaste shows a lot of bitter tastes with metal, hops, malt and a little nutty finish. Overall, a pretty nice beer - complex in its own right (not necessarily an APA) but a good beer with a lot of flavours. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased the last time I was in Hawaii (on the Island of Hawaii [Big Island]) in 2008 on the eve of returning to the islands, sampled at home in Washington on 03-March-2011.

On tap at Honolulu Intíl airport. Poured a clear light amber with a medium tan head. Mild hop aroma. Quite a hoppy little pale with a light citrus flavor. Finishes crisp and clean with light dryness. Very nice.

Aroma is doughy and grainy; heavy caramel background; citric hopping with a well balanced palate; not bad at all.

22oz bottle. Amber, very little head. Roma comes out w/ carmel malt, then shows some roast, maybe some toffee...nutty doughy carmel...Fair overall. Like the Mehana, the finish seems tainted...slighty papery or earthy...maybe it is the water???I warm up to it as it warms...its alright! offering a fairly deep malt base. So far the best & maltiest HI beer iíve had. Body is done right as well...Forget my questions...this is a nice maltster!

Bottle. Burnt molasses aroma. Hazy copper body. No visible carbonation. Off-white head; somewhat lasting but erodes fairly quickly. Good lace. Caramel aspect with hops. On draught is better but this is still good. Draught has hoppier aspect. Appropriately, I enjoyed it at sunset in Hawaii. Sweet. Undercabonated in bottle. This is clearly a beer that is better on draught than in bottle. I took that into account with this rating.

Light amber pour with creamy tan head and lace. Aroma is caramel malt and resin. Flavor same as aroma with a nice bitter finish. A tad thin and watery but an ok beer.
