9/22/2009 12:52:15 PM Bottle from Bierkoning. Golden orange body with proud head. Malty and fruity nose. Flavourful than lots of hops. With a spicy bite to it. Really just lovely. One of the best tripels I’ve had.

Pigs Ear. Hazy gold beer, thick white head. Soft creamy malt, lightly spicy. Repressed orange bitter fruit. More hop bitterness at the finish. More complex than it sounds and decent.

Bottled at RBESG 2010 Grand Tasting. A yellow beer with a huge orangey head. The aroma has notes of yeast as well as lighter notes of spices and malt. The flavor is sweet with ntoes of bread, yeast, and malt as well as a lighter note of spices, leading to a dry and spicy finish.

Bottled (bought@GBBF2010. Slightly hazy golden colour, mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is spices, toffee, some mild grassyness and caramel malts. Flavour is quite similar in a quite sweet toffeeish way. Not that close to a traditional Belgian Tripel.

A deep amber ale with an average white head. Very intense malty aroma (honey, mature fruits). Strong nose sweetness, moderate grass hop hint. Very well balanced taste (sweetness/bitterness) with a very light sourness. Medium to strong carbonation and medium to full body. A really interesting Tripel, aroma could be a little too much sweety for someone but taste is clearly different and balanced. Wonderfully drinkable.
