3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. A hazy dark golden to pale amber beer with a large, frothy, lacing, mostly lasting white head. The aroma is moderately malty, lightly to moderately hoppy, lightly yeasty, with notes of toasted grains, flowers, herbs, citric fruits, (including a bit of grapefruit) with a hint of spices, alcohol, perhaps a hint of cheese/mold. The flavour is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately sour, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium to full body, lively carbonation, long finish with medium bitterness, lightly alcoholic. Very nice beer, a little too sweet, but with nice aroma, intriguing hops and good personality.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Kris Wines, London. Poured a cloudy golden colour with a mid sized off white head. Sweetish nose with notes of belgian yeast, citrus and grassy hop; all themes that continued on into the flavour. Liked the bitterness towards the finish. Very solid Tripel, but falls somehow short of being excellent. Extra marks for the 4:20 reference though.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On draught at Pigs Ear Beer Festival, 2 December 2009. Good rare catch for the organizers. Clean and hoppy. Orange peel in the flavour. Fresh and clean with loads of bite. Some yeasty notes but the hopping gives a character that is more American than Belgian. Very good stuff.

Bottle. Clear and a bit lively on opening. No head and didn’t leave any lacing. Slightly bitter with a pleasant mouth feel. Nice.
