Zoet voor een tripel te zijn, beetje fruitige ondertoon. In balans en lange bitter zoete nasmaak.

Pours copper color with a medium head. Aroma of fruits, toffee and malts. Flavor is the same with some yeast and mild spice notes. Good and balanced brew.

Tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas as Bink Tripel. Pale yellow gold. Have to say the Bink glass I’m not a huge fan of. Quite a funky hoppy tripel with quite a yeast character and some grain on the palate. Hop character is herbal and almst spicy. There’s a taste of something here (not unpleasant) I can’t quite lay my finger on.

Bottle (75 cl) from belgianbeershop.be. Clear deep golden, medium white head. Bready malt aroma with some fruity pear esters, floral hops, and a touch of alcohol. Meidum bodied, medium carbonation. Semi dry, medium bitterness.

Draft @ de Paas. Pours a hazy golden beer with a decent amount of white foam. Aroma is yeasty and slight fruity. Flavor is very alcoholic, boozy and sweet. Gets better as it warms up, but I’m not very enthusiastic.

Pours an apple juice color with aroma of banana and cloves. Taste is mildly spicy with a good bitter aftertaste. A decent tripel that is crisp with a decent aftertaste. Overall a good beer for the style.

After struggling with the cork for some minutes, I poured a hazy and bubbly orange brown body with quickly disappearing grey head. Champagne, clean yeast, apples and wheat. Bit disappointing. Taste is more pronounced, quite sharp sweetness with classic hops to backup and loads of carbonation to dim things down. A real alcohol warmth as well. Very Belgian and not bad but is all this carbonation and alcohol really needed to make a good tripel? No, it isn’t.
