3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Dutch’s. Kegged 03/03/11... Almost entirely hazy golden orange color. Thin white head, leaves good ropes of lace. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, lighter carbonation, lightly soft. Lightly dry finish. Aroma has an old hop taste to it, kind of musty. Lighter bitter taste, moderate sweet. Some spice. Hard for me to get past the distinct taste of hops that have gone past their prime... Alcohol is well hidden, though, I’ll give this beer that. It’s not bad overall, just not great, nothing really shines about it. Just a hint of belgian yeast character, a light hint of belgian candy sugar. Thanks to the smooth texture, it goes down pretty easy, that’s a plus.

Decent tripel, not overly sweet and cloying making for an easy drinking affair, the alcohol is well disguised.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Blonde dorée légèrement trouble, quasi pas d’effervescence (ni à l’œil, ni au palais), col blanc moyen. Amertume houblonnée assez présente, goût de fruits jaunes, caramel et épices. Alcool un peu trop présent...

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
UPDATED: JUN 30, 2013 Bottled as Bink Tripel @ aftertasting of the RBESG’13 Grand Tasting @ trainstation Den Bosch: Served in a Molen taster:
Medium sized, pretty vast and slowly changing white fiamy head on top of a cloudy yellow colored beer.
Aromas of grains, some hop fruit tones like citrus, cream, light vanilla, flowers and some card board.
Flavours of spices, alcohol, alcohol drenched fruits, some hops, dirty malts, clay, flowers, warmth, bit liquor strength... Don’t like it.
Aftertaste is warm, porridge, hay and grains, spices, dirty malts, unbalanced.
Low carbo, creamy light spicy mouthfeel, medium bodied and a creamy texture.
Unbalanced warm mess... Niet te hachelen!

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Golden amber in colour. Has a fruity, pear like aroma which is very pleasant and clean. The palate has a dry, biscuit malt flavour with good bitterness and a long finish. A very drinkable and flavourful tripel.
