COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
So, we have a new beer; an Imperial Red Ale dry hopped with Summit and Simcoe. What are we calling it? You guessed it, Dirty Hippie. It weighs in at 8%, 95 IBU and has a whole lot of hoppy goodness balanced with a nice malt backbone that you would expect out of an Imperial Red. Does it really smell like a dirty hippie? Come on in, grab a pint and decide for yourself.

This beer pouts with a nice off white head. On first look it has a beautiful red/ amber color. The nose is amazing with a very floral hoppy sent. It tastes amazing. A very nice hoppy imperial red ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours copper with a rich beige head and a typical red smoked malt aroma. There is a medium-bodied smoked malt flavor that starts sweet then turns bitter.

Bomber from IrishBoy. Thanks man!! Pours clear copper with a creamy beige head. Aroma is roast malt with pine. Flavor about the same with some mixed hop indications. Nice hoppy amber - mild hop burn - but smoothly done.

Bottle thanks to Irishboy! Pours clear reddish amber with a small tan head and nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is that red ipa smell of caramel, citrus and pine, not getting a ton of simcoe. Flavor is the same, lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Medium body, slightly oily mouthfeel.

22 oz bottle. Clear amber brown with a balsa head. Nose is orange peel, pine, lemon-lime and mint. Creamy, resiny and juicy with a soft buzz. Taste is pink grapefruit, peach, pine, papaya and citrus pith. Mellows beautifully with increased subtlety as it warms. I love the stench.

On draught during the Citra release on 02/01/2013. The beer pours a bright copper-orange color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, citrus and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of herbal hops, grapefruit and bready malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a lingering resinous hops aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Appearance: Pours a golden amber with a lasting creamy head.

Aroma: Hoppy goodness citrus dank and rock sugar.

Taste: A nice blend of citrusy and piny hops. A little toast and caramel. Finishes fruity.

Mouthfeel: Full bodied, a little sticky with modest carbonation.

Overall: A very hop forward, aromatic Imperial Red. Dangerously drinkable.

Pours a lovely orange color. Citra aroma hits me first. Delicate orange taste. Mild for an imperial but flat out lovely. Took my time with this one.
