COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
“Not Just any Blonde” The Kern River flows into Lake Isabella less then one mile south of Kernville, Ca. This Blonde Ale has an easy malt body and a mild hop aroma produced by traditional English hops. The light straw color and crisp finish make this an easy drinking beer that’s great for those hot summer days. If you are looking for great taste and good times, don’t settle for just any blonde, choose Isabella Blonde!

appearance is yellow with a really nice tight pillowy head that laces. aroma is noble hops bread malts and biscuit. Taste is nose with little bitterness and a toasty malt backend. Palate is thin and dry which is on style for me making it refreshing. Overall it’s a nice blonde. Not the greatest style and certainly not my favorite style but good for what it is supposed to be and rated as such.

Bottle. Clear yellow hued pour with a small white head. Aromas are malty, toasty and bready with a very light ester and a bit of marmalade and herbal hops. Flavors show a nice malt structure, bready and toasty. Some fuggles like hop character. Finish is a bit flabby and not as crisp as I would like. Medium carbonation, off dry.

Pour is transparent golden yellow with a tight foamy white head. Nose is solid, fresh grain, faint dough, solid hop presence being fairly grassy with a light spice to it with a touch of lemon. Taste is decent, the grain presence is a bit lighter, flavors are slightly muted and less integrated. Hops are herbal and grassy, spice is a touch stronger as is the lemon. Finish is highly carbonated with a light lingering bitterness and light body.

22 oz. bottle served in a CCB snifter. Thanks to Sean for the share. A: Pours a hazy golden apricot color with wispy white head forming on the pour. It dissolves quickly to a thin ring. S: Hoppy upfront with some grainy malts and a little back end sweetness. T: Cereal grains with a light hop backing. Not as potent as the nose and took on more of the standard blonde ale flavors. M: Light, medium carbonation. Highly drinkable. O: Solid blonde. Nothing crazy, but solid. Really drinkable. Could drink a lot on a hot summer day, but wouldn’t seek this out. Serving type: bottle

Pour out of 22 oz bottle is hazy/clear yellow with nice white head, aroma brings notes of slight biscuit, grain, touch of spice and grass notes, hints of slight mineral notes, slight lemon notes. Taste is a nice mix of biscuit, bready notes, sweet pils malt with a hint of grass and floral note, touch of spice, finishing fairly sweet. Some vanilla comes through as well. Pretty nice!
