“The Name Says it All” Just Outstanding has an orange amber body that combines a zesty and bitter characteristic, a generous malty taste and an exquisite floral aroma – Oh yeah, this beer is really hoppy too! This sturdy ale has 7.5% alcohol and twice the malt and hops of a Pale Ale. If you like a strong IPA, you’ll find this beer

Sample at the 2013 GABF. Pours a clear gold with an off white head. Fruity hop nose. Flavors of citrus and pine. Smooth bitter finish

Poured a dark gold with a very small dissipating white head. Left a little bit of lacing behind on the glass. The smell is the all-star on this one. Citrusy piney and a little bit of tropical fruit shine through. This is one of the top aromatic beers I’ve ever opened. The taste is similar although not quite as powerful. The piney resiny hops shine through a bit more than the citrus and there is a little bit of a caramel malt background. Mouthfeel and carbonation levels are both around average for the style. Overall this definitely is an outstanding IPA.

UPDATED: MAR 19, 2014 Giving this a fresh write-up now that I’m finally drinking it again. This is a really nice IPA. Not your typical West Coast hop bomb. Balanced with a strong malt presence and well-rounded flavors. I usually don’t get too excited about malt-forward IPAs but this is just so tasty. Aroma is a bit subdued compared to the flavor but no complaints. Grab it if you see it.

Orange/amber with large dense white head. Aroma of citrus and tropical fruit with just a touch of pine. Flavor is like aroma, but with a nice malt background. Clean flavors, crisp and bright. Medium bodied. Faultless IPA

Bottle shared at tasting, pours hazy amber with alright head and lacing. Notes of Buttery oak, dank hops, pine, caramel malt and mineral water. Another one that might have been a little old but it still held up nicely.

Bottle shared at Andy’s with a whole bunch of grimps. Pours an orange body with nice white lacing. Aroma is light pine and lots of grapefruit. Mouthfeel is nicely bitter with a ton of straight grapefruit flavor. Bitter and dry, but nice and drinkable.

Bottle. Clear amber pour with an off white head. Florally hop aromas. Big pine/grass/herbal hop aromas. The taste follows suit and lacks the balance of a healthy malt backbone. Good body and carbonation.

Poured from 22oz bottle into a tulip. Amber color with a big beige head Nose is grass, pine, citrus. Taste follows with some floral notes. Very good, but I wouldn’t call this outstanding myself.

A- unfiltered golden amber with thin skin of off-white head and solid lacing. S- peach, lemon zest and pine resin start it off, with caramel and wet grass next. Grapefruit hops follow. M- medium carbonation with a smooth medium body and relatively light palate. T- bitter grass and lemon zest up front, with some soap, pine and hops in the middle that couple with peach and grapefruit. Some sweet caramel malts towards the end. Bitter resin on the long lasting end. Overall a nice beer but relatively straight forward. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
