“The Name Says it All” Just Outstanding has an orange amber body that combines a zesty and bitter characteristic, a generous malty taste and an exquisite floral aroma – Oh yeah, this beer is really hoppy too! This sturdy ale has 7.5% alcohol and twice the malt and hops of a Pale Ale. If you like a strong IPA, you’ll find this beer

Burnt orange, nice lacy head. Smells of simcoe and galaxy. Nice and fruity with acidic grapefruit and pine needles. Nice. Perhaps not as fresh as I would hope but tastes nice, great balance in the malts, mouthfeel and bitterness. fruity finish

I Just dig this beer, It has been argued that it is not a real IPA or its this or that. Well this is my rating and this beer tastes good to me, period. Plenty of flavors in this brew to keep me interested and its brewed in good ole California. I will have to go try it off the tap next time I head near Kern. Great balance of flavor and alcohol allow this beer to hit the palette with complexity I don’t find in too many beers.

Poured from bomber, golden orange with nice medium off- white head. Citrus nose, mild pine aroma. Taste is fairly well balanced, not too sweet, not too bitter, overall it is just an outstanding IPA...

Poured from a 22oz bomber. Pours a dark amber with a healthy white head. Smells of caramel malts and very slight citrus. Taste outshines the smell by far. Grapefruit upfront and slight malty backbone. Nice clean finish.

Its exactly like the title just outstanding if u are a brewery and wanna make an ipa? Sit back and take notes from the floral , and amazingly hoppy single ipa from kern. The perfect combo for an ipa to have.

Big blast of fresh Citra hops in the nose, blends with the others on the palate. Hooray for malts! Briefly sweet, hops galore. Damn tasty. One of my fav Single IPAs.

Aroma is dominated by hops - mostly citrus and pine resin but there is a light peach note. The citrus is mostly a grapefruit and line character. Some faint cracker malt notes in the background and hints of light caramel. Pours a fairly clear orange copper with a slightly off-white head that slowly recedes to the edges. Decent lacing with small legs. Flavor stars with some sweet malt character - cracker and light caramel. After the initial malt note you get a lot of hop flavor. Here the Amarillo really shows with some nice stone fruit notes. There is of course quite a bit of grapefruit and resin as well but the flavor has a lot more Amarillo character than the aroma. A bit of alcohol spice in the finish. Moderate bitterness lingers with the resin note. Finish is slightly sweet. Medium to medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Very low hop astringency and medium low hop bitterness. Overall this is a pretty nice IPA. I prefer a bit less malt character and a drier beer but the hop character is pretty nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

650ml bottle. Moderate off-white head, unfiltered gold/apricot colour. Big tropical, grapefruit, pine and spruce hop aroma. Taste is a little more sweet than I was expecting, hops not as strong in the taste as the smell with more earth, resin and malt. Overall, hop bomb in the aroma with more balance in the taste.
