3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma is dominated by hops - mostly citrus and pine resin but there is a light peach note. The citrus is mostly a grapefruit and line character. Some faint cracker malt notes in the background and hints of light caramel.
Pours a fairly clear orange copper with a slightly off-white head that slowly recedes to the edges. Decent lacing with small legs.
Flavor stars with some sweet malt character - cracker and light caramel. After the initial malt note you get a lot of hop flavor. Here the Amarillo really shows with some nice stone fruit notes. There is of course quite a bit of grapefruit and resin as well but the flavor has a lot more Amarillo character than the aroma. A bit of alcohol spice in the finish. Moderate bitterness lingers with the resin note. Finish is slightly sweet.
Medium to medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Very low hop astringency and medium low hop bitterness.
Overall this is a pretty nice IPA. I prefer a bit less malt character and a drier beer but the hop character is pretty nice.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Shared bomber poured to snifters, displaying a cloudy, orangey gold color, with a bubbly layer of off white head foam, and spotty lacing. The nose was dank & earthy, with follow up notes of citrus as grapefruit & orange, and a bit of resin. A little less than medium bodied, with fair carbonation, the taste included a modest, citrusy & earthy bitterness that remained steady to the finish, although the texture seemed to thin a bit. Fairly "outstanding", otherwise.

Bomber to pint glass. Pours cloudy bright deep orange. Effervescent. Small, yet creamy white head with excellent lacing. Aroma is very malty with pine and light citrus. Taste is sugary sweet malt, citrus rind, and caramel. Finish is light bitter for IIPA but is grapefruit. Mouthfeel is medium-syrupy, good carb.
