“The Name Says it All” Just Outstanding has an orange amber body that combines a zesty and bitter characteristic, a generous malty taste and an exquisite floral aroma – Oh yeah, this beer is really hoppy too! This sturdy ale has 7.5% alcohol and twice the malt and hops of a Pale Ale. If you like a strong IPA, you’ll find this beer

Poured from a 22oz bomber. Pours a dark amber with a healthy white head. Smells of caramel malts and very slight citrus. Taste outshines the smell by far. Grapefruit upfront and slight malty backbone. Nice clean finish.

This is a truly delicious IPA. Perfectly balanced with a big, malty base, but complimented with piney Simcoe and citrusy Amarillo. Medium body and bold lacing that hugs the walls for a good while. Glorious brew!

Bottle: Poured a nice golden color ale with a nice foamy head with excellent retention and some super great lacing. Aroma of fresh pineapple and citrus is very pleasant with nice flora undertones. Taste is also dominated by huge floral aroma of fresh grapefruit with some nice citrus notes with a lightly sweet malt backbone. Body is about average for style with great carbonation. World-class IPA which is approaching Alpine level but not quite there yet.

Bottle. Hazy burnt orange. Malty pine aroma. The taste adds citrus bitter notes. Strong rich candied mouthfeel. Very good stuff. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle via trade. Pours a light reddish color with a slightly cloudy appearance. Medium white head that laces well. Nose is tropical and citrus with a slight pine character. Taste is initially sweet then fades to bitter with a moderate hop character. Just kinda run of the mill fruity with some tropical and citrus notes. OK, and probably was outstanding by IPA terms a few years ago, but right now, the hops seem a bit light and bland.

Bottle share thanks to Homer321. Pours a lightly hazy orange color, small white head. Moderate hop character, citrusy and earthy, mildly danky. Moderate hop flavor, mostly earthy, and mild bitterness, significant caramel, toasty malt character.

Got this as a throw in from a trade! Like the description says, this was "Just Outstanding". Pours orange and a bit hazy with a medium head and some sticky lacing. Smell is citrus, strong grapefruit, orange. Taste was more up front grapefruit and orange with a small amount of sweetness with a heavy bitter kicking in. Medium body and well carbed. Very happy that I got to try my first Kern offering.

Yay, 50th IPA reviewed A- Pours a beautiful sunset orange color with an absolutely massive, off white head that leaves tons of lacing on the way down. S- Lots of citrus, grapefruit, tangerine, slight breadiness T- Grapefruit and orange/tangerine on the front end that lead to an absolutely tongue destroying bitterness that lingers. M- Medium bodied with medium carbonation. D- This is a treat for a hop lover. I really enjoyed it.

Hazy amber golden color, dense frothy off-white head. Sweet aroma of citrus fruits, mango, peach, and caramel malt. A bit sticky sweet in taste rounded with resinous bitterness. Oily, smooth, and almost medium in body. Finish is bitter and a little astringent
