Commercial Description:
“The Name Says it All” Just Outstanding has an orange amber body that combines a zesty and bitter characteristic, a generous malty taste and an exquisite floral aroma – Oh yeah, this beer is really hoppy too! This sturdy ale has 7.5% alcohol and twice the malt and hops of a Pale Ale. If you like a strong IPA, you’ll find this beer

March 9, 2009 rating. On a guest tap at Lengthwise Brewing in Bakersfield. Pours a nice amber color with a good off-white head. Aroma was strong pine hops with some citrus in the background. Very "green" smelling. Flavor had a good hop kick, but the malt was not quite up to par to contend with all the hoppiness. Overall, a pretty nice IPA.

Pours lightly cloudy copper color with a retained off white head. Aromas of citrus and resin with a light bready malt background. Really nice fresh, juicy hop aroma. No sign whatsoever of the 7.5% ABV. Very quaffable. Mouthfeel is full and thick albeit not overly so. Good beer!

Pours a dark orange color with a white head and some serious lacing. Aroma is mainly some orange citrus and a little bit of pine. Flavor is smooth caramel malt upfront that leads into the bitter hop profile. A lot of citrus in there again with a touch of pine working in the background. Leaves a decent sweetness on the tongue. Pretty full bodied for a straight IPA. Nice.

Just bought this at Red Carpet in Glendale. This listing says 7.5% but my bottle says 6.8% so perhaps the recipe has changed. It is a nice straight up clean and citrus like IPA. Not over the top nor complicated, just really clean and crisp on the pallet.

This pours a dark, golden, yellow with orange tinting. A tiny head of white foam rides the liquid, all the way down the glass. Lacing is full and quite sticky. Big presence of citrus hops. Loads of grapefruit, both yellow and ruby-red. A good amount of orange and lemon rinds. A good level of pine oil. Nice level of floral hops, also. Definite hints of caramel and sweet malts are here, but they appear to be pretty deep. The taste is way more balanced than I anticipated it to be. This is an equal playing field for both the hops and the malts. Mild levels of caramel and brown sugar sweetness mingle with the citrus and floral hop notes. The sweet and bitter don’t cancel each other, so much as they compliment each other. It lives up to its name. This is medium-bodied with a light level of carbonation. No real presence of creaminess to speak of, but it’s very smooth and tasty. This is a damn fine IPA, as long as you aren’t looking for a palate shredder. Great balance, taste and enjoyability. Recommended.

Pours an orange color with white head. Sweet caramel malt, citrus, floral hops, fruit, and biscuit. Pretty sweet malt profile, not extremily hoppy. Decent.

Hazy dark orange hue, frothy thin layer sustains. Nose is insane, BIG grapefruit aroma with other cirtrus and pine resin. Flavor follows with grapefruit, orange, lemon, and piney hops, decent biscuit bread malt to balance, tones of grass, chalk, cotton candy, finishes dry and bitter. Medium body, moderate carbonation, thick texture. A wonderfully flavorful and balanced IPA, tons of flavor, easy drinking, delicious!

22 oz from South Bay. Outstanding aroma. Fruit and pine and floral. Not too carbonated, though. Lovely taste. Grapefruit and hops. Very nice. Needs a little more carbonation.
