4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Appearance is straw gold with almost no head on pour at brewery. Aroma is HUGE hops, citrus, grapefruits, grass, bit of weed. Taste is sweet hops with a nice smooth bitterness and a nice malty sweet backbone. Palate is thin and dry making this really refreshing. Overall another great DIPA from Kern River.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle share thanks to Homer321. Big hoppy aroma, citrus, some earthiness, caramel malt. Slightly hazy orange pour, white head. Big malt - semisweet, some citrus, earthy hops, light spicy hop character.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle thanks to Jess. Nose is an amazing danky tropical fruity explosion. Hazy orange pour. Moderate white head. Taste is initially fruity with a light bitterness. Moderate bitterness but still a light malt sweetness. Good. But not double Citra good.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 oz bottle sampled in Feb. 2012 from notes. Pours a golden amber color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor had a big citrus presence; orange, grapefruit, tangerine, mild resin character, caramel, lightly toasted with moderate bitterness. Very drinkable DIPA.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from South Bay Liquor: Poured a glowing golden yellow that was full of haze and looks similar to a hefeweizen while a soft pillow of foam easily broke down up top. The nose is bold with ripe succulent hops that ooze hop oils and resin while a small whiff of alcohol lurks in the background. The flavor is initially bitter with hops yet has a delicate sweetness due to bready grained malts. There is an obvious taste of citrus such as lime or grapefruit juice but somehow this doesn’t all come together for me as a high quality Imperial IPA because it taste as though its watered down or lacks serious body.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber purchased at Holiday Wine Cellar ($7.99). Pours a hazy orange-amber color with two fingers of white foam that leaves some good lacing. Aroma of sweet tangerine, zesty grapefruit, oily herbs, spring lawnmowing, and some wet pine. Flavor of a nice fruit medley (I get peach, mango, tangerine, perhaps some apricot), honey, caramel, and some spicy earthy hops. Well balanced and not particularly bitter. The tropical fruit elements here make me think of this more as a summer ale rather than a winter ale. The hopmasters at Kern River do it again! (71, 780)

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle share at Hunaphu Day. Orange pour with a fluffy white head. Standard IPA aroma subdued floral, piney and citrus hops with bready malt backing. Spruce and spicy hop character, minerals with hints of citrus and sweet malt backing. Not bad, just nothing distinguishable.
