(Kerst Pater Special Christmas) Bottle 330 ml at home, served into a big tulop, ABV 9% Dark brown colour on the body, small and thin light beige head on top, with low retention. Aroma mostly of caramel, light dark fruits, not much else. Taste also ofcaramel, more to discover now, molasses, dark fruits, light spices, quite sweet. Medium body, carbonation on good levels. Decent beer, another one of those belgian Christmas beers that don’t offer anything newer than the normal versions.

Pours dark brown with a moderate, off-white, foamy head. The aroma contains caramel, sugar, dark fruits, some bread, syrup, Taste is medium sweet and stays in the long finish. Medium to light body but quite oily in texture. A warming beer to have with your food.

Bottle 33cl. Deep dark brown, small foamy tan head, mostly diminishing, almost no lacing; aroma roasted malts, overripe fruit, apple syrup, licorice; taste is medium sweet and slightly sour, fruity, candied cherries, spicy notes, average to long duration, mild sweet and sour aftertaste, cinnamon notes, bit woody, light bitter touch in the finish; medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation; expected more bitterness and less sourness, disappointing.

Bottle at home. Aroma is sweet malt, candy sugar, caramel, marzipan, candy, raisins, spicy notes. Flavour is quite sugary sweet with some bitterness in the finish. Body is medium. Good if you like übersweet beers I suppose, it’s just not for me.

Flaska belgoklubben. Brun kulör med eldoranget sken. Söt och fruktig doft. Sockrade äpplen, sirap och jäst. Smak av mosiga äpplen i sockerlag. Viss bitterhet

Dark Christmas ale, aroma of marzipan, fruitcake. A sweet palate of berry fruit and a dryish fruity finish. Lacking the rich complexity of the best seasonal beers, and a little too sweet, not bad.
