COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Look: the beer pours a dark brown color with a small white head. Smell: Seven-up with licorice. Taste: Seven-up with licorice. Mouthfeel: Medium carbonation and medium body. Overall: If you like overly sweet beer without any depth and taste layer, OR if you like Seven-up with licorice, this is your beer!

Classic Christmas ale with deep burgundy colour and thinnish, off-white head. Rich malty and estery aroma, yeasty, fruity with spicy notes, caramelly, chocolate accents, dried orange peel, brown rhum. Malty taste with full and creamy mouthfeel, sweet, candied cherries, port wine, cocoa hints, caramelly, smooth with retronasal spiciness, a toasted hint in the finish, some herbal hops and warming alcohol. Very enjoyable winter warmer, one of the best products of this brewery in my opinion, with good ageing potential too.

Bottle from de Bierschuur in Poppel. The beer is dark brown colored and has a nice cream colored head, with a lot of bubbles. The aroma is complex but also has some clear bitter tones of pure chocolate, but also in the background the sweetness of candy, caramel and some alcohol warmth. In the taste there is a nice balance between the sweetness from the candy and bitterness of the dark chocolate. The finish is long, sweet and warming.
