3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 RichardW (932) - Carlisle, Cumbria, ENGLAND - JUL 13, 2009
500ml bottle, Rheged, Penrith. Beautiful red brown mid-strength ale. Gorgeously full flavoured, the malt really comes through, with a strong, ripe juicy berry flavour and the faintest hint of roast. The hops lie underneath, understated but just sufficient enough to give the slightest of bitter edges. A superbly made beer.
