5th August 2010. GBBF.
Hazy gold beer with no real head. Light dry palate. Some dry grapefruit - orange. Big surprise here for a beer of this colour is some smokiness! A little apple as well. Not happy bedfellowes. Very dry finish. Bit of a mess.

[Cask at the Hobgoblin, Reading] Pours pale gold with a moderate but dissipating white head. Creamy and honey to start, before bitter biscuit and dusty straw take over. Hints of citrus behind but itís really bitter straw that dominates - too bitter for me Iím afraid.
