33cl fliptop. The most SW of both Badian Ketterer’s pilseners, from the small town of Hornberg. All fresh ingredients and the spring water do add a convincing, harmonious and fresh brew: the typical SW almond malts remain sweet and give an odd marzipan taste to this otherwise crisp beer, but the natural grass&pepper hops and smooth palate make up for it. Less dry than other standout SW Pils of Waldhaus in the aftertaste.

#90 Ketterer sind netterer! Keine Ahnung, ob das auf die Einwohner zutrifft...das Pils ist jedenfalls für mich ein außergewöhnlich gelungenes Exemplar! Hopfig-grasig im Aroma, goldgelb mit feinem Schaum im Glas. Im Antrunk schmeckt man gleich leckeren Hopfen. Das Brauwasser ist eine Klasse für sich, so weich und rund. Im Geschmack eine etwas pilsuntypische Note, die mir aber äußerst sympathisch ist und die Süffigkeit steigert. Klasse Pils - klasse Noten! Danke an quack-duck für die Flasche!! 500ml Bottle. Appearance is clear golden color with lots of off-white head. Aroma is grains and light grass. Taste is similar with grains, pale malts, grass. Palate is medium-bodied, slick texture, average carbonation, and a slightly dry finish. Standard German Pilsner done well.

Bottle 50cl. clear pale Pilsener with wonderful caramel sweetness and floral hoppy resinous taste. Unexpected outstanding brew.

Grainy, slightly hoppy aroma. Flavor is sweet malty and grainy. Dry finish.

Bottle 50cl, a clear yellow beer with medium head. Nose is malty ans sweet like. A sweet and malty pilsner with good hops notes, finish is grassy and bitter. Pleasant beer a bit sweet anyway.

Bottle. A light smell of grass, some yeast and a stronger aroma of hops. The white medium large creamy head has a normal duration, the body is yellow. The first taste is rather bitter, the finish is a little bit softer and quite long. The body is light to medium strong, creamy and dry with a normal carbonation.

Clear light to medium yellow color with a average, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, corn, cardboard, light hoppy, citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20090626]

50cl bottle. Pours clear and pale piss yellow with a small creamy white foam. Nose is grain, rice and cabbage. Quite unclean and unpleasant. Taste is rubber, grain and vegetables. Medium and smooth palate. Nahh..

Bottle, 4.9%. Mild grassy hop aroma. Clear yellow colour. Stable plasticky white head. Nicely malty flavour, hint of cream or butter, but nice. Faint grassy aroma hop note. Clean. Medium bitterness getting a bit citric in the finish. Has a little alcohol aftertaste.
