Drunk from 0.5 litre bottle at Afri's in Pforzheim. Slightly sweet pilsener. Not as bitter or hoppy as many. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

bottle from Kaufland Pforzheim. Clear pale yellow colour, large and creamy white head. Malty-hoppy nose. Intensive malty nose with grassy hops resulting in a bitter-sweet overall character. Well balanced, wel crafted. A fine example of a South-German Pils.

It is a rather mild beer. The finish is then revealed an unexpectedly bitter aftertaste. Good drinkability and very refreshing. Good beer!

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild, fresh-hoppy, flowery, then more and more spicy, some wheaty notes, a bit sourish background with fruity notes of lemon. Quite drinkable. Nice!

Bottle: Pale golden to golden, quickly vanishing loose presumably white head; moderate grainy-hoppy nose; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied; lingering aromatic hoppy finish with, at last, a pale malty base. Not bad, a gem compared to a mass market Pilsener like Bitburger......

(bottle) Clear, Pilsener-golden colour with a big and blond foamy head. Slightly sweet pale malty aroma with citrus-fruity and slightly flowery hoppy notes. Slightly bitter flavour with a balancing malty sweetness, rather light bodied with a slightly crispy carbonation. Initially malty taste with a delicately touch of aroma hops, which gain more weight towards the mildly bitter and slightly herbal and subtle fruity hoppy finish. A fine and well-crafted Pilsener. 15.V.10

330ml bottle as Ketterer Pilsener Edelpils (bb.21.04.09). Pure golden body with a lasting, thin white head. Fresh citric-hoppy aroma. Clean taste of orange shells with bitterness behind. Beautifully hopped with a more gently bitterness to the end. Soft carbonated and rather well bodied. It came as a pleasant surprise to find a pilsener like this in the minibar at my Best Western hotel room in Stuttgart. Refreshing and very relaxing after a long trip from the Arctic (24.02.2009).

Bottle. Sour barley malt and grassy hops aroma. Golden yellow color with moderate head. Sharp acidity up front with a lightly creamy malt and strong green grass hops. Pretty hoppy.
