COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
18.6° Plato. Goldener DLG-Preis 2009.

Bottle (kindly delivered by Q.D:!): Ruby amber coloured, medium-sized slowly collapsing tanned head; moderate to solid nose: dark malt, caramel and lots of dried berries; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, only medium bodied; lingering dryish fruity and caramelly finish with distinctive bitter aftertaste. Quite unspectacular, but well balanced Doppelbock....

Bottle from Quack-Duck, thanks! Dark brown color. Malt, maple syrup and nutmeg in the aroma. Full bodied. malty sweet flavor with cake dough, licorice and nutmeg. Hint of roast. Rich and well matured doppelbock, tasty and with a good balance.

Bottle looks simple, but good. Beer in the glass dark brown, small head. Wonderful malty-sweet aroma. Starts intense malty, wonderful spicy, some notes of charamel and chocolate. Sweet malt in the finish, a bit less intense than the beginning. Wonderful balanced. A great beer!

(bottle, 33cl) Clear, bright mahogany colour with a beige medium-sized foamy head. Sweet molassy toast-malty aroma with earthy notes, caramel and very subtle dried fruity accents. Sweet and slightly roasty bitter flavour, full bodied with a moderate to crispy carbonation. Roasty malty and slightly earthy base with caramel and delicately spicy hoppy accents; sweet malt-accented and slightly bitter-roasty finish. Pleasant and not too fat Doppelbock. 06.V.10
