COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Myrtle Street IPA is on nitro in our taproom. If you’ve never had a beer with nitrogen infused in it rather than CO2, it would be worth the visit to our taproom to try it out. Nitrogen is much creamier than CO2. You’ll notice the difference with one luscious sip. Brewed with all Cascade hops. 6.5% abv; 50 IBUs.

On nitro at the brewery’s taproom in Missoula, Montana. Pours a thick and hazy orangeish amber brew with a very dense and creamy off-white head that has an excellent retention and lacing. Aroma of heavy orange peel, some caramel malt with some earthy herbal spice. Taste is smooth, creamy, medium bodied with a fruity malt flavor. Finish has a decent citrus bite and aftertaste that lingers around after the finish. A wonderful West Coast IPA caliper brew.

nitro. caramel body, foamy fine-bubbled white head. silky smooth carbonation and medium acid hop bitterness are positives, but the malt it a bit rough. caramel malt, light honey, medium bread dough, light pine. wood oil-like hop flavor and texture in the finish leaves the mouth with a resinous coating.

Sample at brewery. Clear amber orange, creamy white head. Aroma of mild citrus and biscuity malt. Taste has some pine bitterness, body is watery and bland to me like most nitro beers.

Nitro pint shared with my wife at the brewery taproom. Bright orange with taht prototypical nitro foam top. Not much aroma escapes, but this monster is full of hop character ... earthy, dirty, mildly fruity. Good hippie IPA, going well with the jam band soundtrack in the bar. <<Tried later on regular draft at Missoula’s Old Post -- came out even mustier with a foresty aroma of woodsy hops. Still chewy and earthy, this is a dirt-borne IPA good for a cool spring evening in MT!>> (#2932, 5/19/2007)

Murky amber with a foamy head that cascades. Lightly hopped aroma care of nitro. Nice blend of malts and hops in the flavor. Biitter and a touch fruity. The nitro tends to get in the way of making this a better beer.

Draught at the Brewpub: Murky bronze, thick creamy head. Lots of lacing. Nose of light hops, fruity and clean. The flavor is more pronounced with a bitter flavor and a creamy mouthfeel. I like an IPA to be expressive in the nose and have a tame and under control balance on the palate. The opposite of this is basicly what I’m trying to say.
