Tap (Helsinki Beer Festival 2011)
5 Simple, slightly buttery aroma, sweet.
2+ Slightly pale straw.
6- Toffee. Some sharpness.
3- Fuller than your average pale lager, but still a bit thin.
11 Weird, but certainly drinkable.

Aroma has grainy malt, some butter and grassy hops. Flavour has grain, some citrus and grassy hops. I do not like the hop profile here. Decent stuff anyway.

At Helsinki Beer Festival 2011. Poured hazy orange with white head. Earthy (yeasty?) aroma. Quite bitter flavour and ending.

Draught@Helsinki Beer Festival 2011. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is sweet malts, mild fruits as well as some grassy notes. Flavour is sweet malts, fruits, mild toasted notes as well as some grass, mild saltwater as well as some slight yeasty notes.

Draught@HBF 2011. Poured hazy orange color with a huge lasting white head. Aroma was wheat and malt with some slight sourness. Flavor wheat, citrus hops and some berries. Bitter finish.

Clear golden color, small white head. Light citrusy hoppy aroma with some apple. Light to medium-bodied. Citrusy, orange peels, some honey. Sweetish aftertaste. Decent pale lager.

(Draught at Gallows Bird Kekri ’09) The appearance of this beer wasn’t really pleasing: muddy yellow and hazy with tiny head. The aroma wasn’t really an improvement. When the beer was cold, the aroma resembled a plastic toy. When the beer got warmer the plasticness disappeared and was replaced by grassy hops and the smell of cowhouse. To my surprise, the taste was good: nice grassy hops, balancing sweetness and fruitiness and at the end quite fitting bitterness that didn’t linger on my tongue too long.

0,5 l on tap @ The Gallows Bird Appearance: slightly muddy, light yellowish brown, no foam. Aroma is quite refreshing with lots of lemonish hops, little bit birchy. Taste is quite hoppy and grassy with lemonish herbs. Mouthfeel is rich and tasty. Nice one!
