COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION 2010 Limited Edition. Our "Old Urbana Barley Wine Ale" is a very full bodied, dark amber colour ale with a full rich, creamy head. A great aging beer, this rich barley wine ale will mellow in flavor over time. With a complex bouquet of sweet dark cherry from malt, it’s hops bitterness from Centennial Hops, and the finish flavor of the Cascade hops. Let this one age, best after 11/2011. Built in 1880, the side wheeler "Urbana" was ordered by Chalres W. Drake for the Keuka Lake Navigation Company. This passenger "steamer" was 120’ long, with a 20’ beam. It was captained first by Allen Wood, succeeded by Oscar Morse. The Urbana was dismantled in Hammondsport in 1904.
