Thin white head with a bit of lacing. Slightly cloudy orange from the can. Solid hop flavor with the malt coming through in the aftertaste.

Murky apricot with a medium off white quickly fading crown. Aroma of grains and malt with mild floral hops. Taste is funky with off flavors, caramel, floral hops and mild bitterness.

can. Golden with small head. Very mild malt body and some dull hops make for a rather mediocre pale ale.

Pours a dark orange color with nice head. Aroma is malt with hint of pepper. Palate is smooth malt upfront with a pretty good hop finish. Best Keweenaw beer Ive had so far.

Straight from the can on the run. Maybe it’s because I had Alpha King the other day - but this isn’t my favorite APA.

12oz can. FIltered tan-orange with a creamy off-white head. Bright golden malt and noble hop aroma, some earthy citrus too. Really well balanced, leaning towards the fresh doughy malt tones, but still has a respectable hop balance. Tame and sort of standard, but drinkable and enjoyable too. Has a similar mouthfeel and subdued Canadian/English character to the other Keweenaw beers I’ve had.

12oz can 11/28/12 (Soo Corner Store)-43° in Shaker-Pours a medium golden with a small off white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, and malt. Taste of the same with more citrus and hops coming out. This medium bodied brew is well balanced and exceeded my expectations.

Pours a clean golden color. One and a half finger head. Leaves some good lacing as the beer goes down. Taste is malty and juicy. Nice hop flavor for a pale ale. Palate starts out malty and finishes with a nice juicy burst. Very good beer. Best one I’ve had from Keweenaw so far. Well done.

12 oz. can. Pours hazy light amber with a nice foamy sudsy off white head that settles and shows decent sticky lacing. Aroma has a gentle malt caramel note and the hops shoe them self well with a good bitterness and earthy floral notes. Taste is pretty bitter with biting citrus floral dry hops and rounded off with a nice malt backbone. Palate is medium and somewhat chewy and finishes dry. This is really a decent Pale Ale from a can and its not overpriced $6.99 like many of the newer breweries that are selling six packs for $9.99

Served on tap at Keweenaw Brewer in Houghton. Appeared as a clear, light gold with a light head. Aroma was of malts and pear-like hops. Taste was slightly malty upfront with a nice pear-tasting moderate to strong hop finish, although bitterness was low. Palate was decent. I am not big pale ale fan, but this one I could work with.
