COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The lightest beer in our family of ales, a slightly malty American Blonde Ale with just a kiss of hops.

Found this one canned at Dan’s Liquor in Plover, Wisconsin. Hazy golden yellow pour with a nice and grainy nose with a little citrusy hoppiness, dry, yet a bit malty, with citrus and some tropical fruit. Nice crisp finish. For a golden blonde, this was pretty good.

Can. Another bad one from this brewery. Pale yellow pour with a foamy white head. Very thin palate. Mild aroma and taste - light wheat - with very low hop or carbonation bite. Dull.

Fairly smooth. Slight bite. A little too bitter for my liking. Nice lite color. Caramel consistency.

Sweet apple juice and sugary underattenuated body, some light vegetal notes. Criminally underhopped.

12oz can. Clear gold with diminishing white foam. Nose is plastic with urea and sweet macro cider. Taste is mealy tart apple. Powdery, poor mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

POurs a hazy straw with notes of clove that drive into a citrus fruit base that shows some light malt and tingly yeast. Light finish.

It’s an American Blonde with a "kiss of the hops" and intended as an introduction brew to the marvelous world of Michigan beer and a nod to the copper mining pioneers of the area. Most likely, the lighter offering was seen as a necessity for their far northern and rural market where macro beer in cans is the traditional beverage of choice. This is a very basic light ale and, unfortunately, my pour was plagued by DMS, with a thick creamed corn nose that put me off from the initial sniff. A cloudy orange pour, there was a touch of body as it lingered in the glass, but washed down with relative tastelessness. While it’s most likely intended to be rather "blah" and clean, off flavors proved to me again why craft brewers should not try to beat the big boys at their own game--you can’t out-Bud Light a Bud Light drinker--but stick to producing flavorful brews that are intentionally NOT Bud Light. Hazy golden blonde coloured body with a dense large, fast-dying white head. Aroma of corn, strong curacao, coriander seed, fresh pears, light sugar and a touch of hops - very nice actually. Light-bodied; Strong apple juice taste with a light bit of malt and some sour citrus tastes noticeable. Aftertaste shows more sour flavours, some light sweetness and a little malt - not too potent at all. Overall, a very mild and refreshing beer - sweet and fruity in every regard. This beer tastes very similar to what I have in my head for Taiwan Beer (can) - a surprisingly good beer. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased at Siciliano’s in Grand Rapids, Michigan for US$1.59 on 06-November-2010 sampled at home in Washington on 01-February-2011 from the lovely city of Houghton, Michigan.

12 ounce can. Pours a clear gold with an average white head. Aroma of malt with some citrus. Tastes of lemon, malt and just a touch of hops. Very average.

Can, has a yellow-gold pour with a little haze, initially, made a large 3 to 4 finger white head that collapsed quickly to a thin cover and ring, there is good stream of bubbles in the center of the glass and some bubbles elsewhere, left some wispy lacing that rolled away, I do not know if this beer is filtered but the last few drops revealed some cloudy sediment in the glass, this drink has mild malt aroma with a little bread notes, a little citrus, and a hint of honey and malt sweetness, there were flavors of light bread malt and some citrus, little malt sweetness, finish has a slight bitterness, thin mouth feel, a light beer that I would choose over macro, would probably make a good thirst quencher on a Hot Summer day.

Blah. There’s some bready malt flavor to it, but I generally found it a cardboard beer.
