2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 madvike (1480) - Middleton, USA - JUN 16, 2011
Can - Pours deep, dark amber with a thick fluffy off-white head. Lightly soured malt, with some breadiness and a touch of herbal hops. Wow, there’s barely any flavor in this at all. A light maltiness, with a mineral quality and basically no hop presence. Light yeastiness in the finish. Really inoffensive, but would like a bit more flavor even for a session beer.

Can shared with multiple others at brewclub. Pours a thin, short lived head, over a clear amber (SRM 14) body.....nose is light toffee/caramel, mild grains......taste is light toffee/caramel, slight cereal.....mouth feel light, carbonation medium. This is a light beer, drinkable, but with minimal to recommend it. BJCP 6/3/10/4/5.

Can. Clear amber with a light white head. Aroma is mild malt, a little musty. Taste is mild, body is medium so it’s not too weak -- has enough substance. I like this -- easy to drink with taste & body.

Pours a clear light brown, rocky head, and lots of bubbly carbonation. Malt forward, nice "bock" aroma. Light malt flavor with a hidden sourness. Medium-light body, somewhat dry finish.

Tasted 8/20/10. 12oz Can. Hazy with a dark amber hue. Layer of off-white head. Aromas of cereal grains and caramel with a subtle, sweet fruity ester. Nice nose! Medium bodied and full of sweet malts. Bready and mild caramel. Dry finish with a slight hop bitterness. The finish is mild with a mix of both bitter and sweet. Not too bad at all!

On tap. Poured clear rusty amber with a light brown head that slowly dissipated to the edges. Aroma was grain, cereal and hay with a slight pine hop backbone. Flavor was similar, the grain was bit sweeter, but the same pine hop backbone was still present and grew toward the finish.
2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 GJF (1006) - Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA - JUL 15, 2010
On tap at the brewpub. It looked pretty, smelled OK, but then it was a very sour beer--seemed as if the tap lines needed some cleaning. Very disappointing.

12oz can. Describing your beer as Oktoberfest-style ale is just a bad call, in my opinion. Hazy brown-red color. Beige head. An OK amber or red, nothing extraordinary. Very malt centered, not much hop character. Fruity tones from the amber malt. Inoffensive session beer.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 illinismitty (2269) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JUN 3, 2010
Can purchase at Eastman Party Store in Midland MI. Pours a copper amber with a dissipating rocky light beige head. Very faint aroma of sweet bready German malts. Light bodied approaching medium with average carbonation. Flavor of munich malts, dough, and a hint of noble hops. Basically, this tastes like an average Marzen that has been watered down.
