CharlesDarwin (1333), State College, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 11, 2007 On tap at the brewpub. Aroma is pleasingly nuanced and enjoyable with subtle fruits dashed with honey, whole grain cereal and plain fruits. A bit of sea salt plays in. Yet, still a little held back. Pours a pale amber, on the brass side of the color, with a rim of sparse white. Flavor begins in refreshing gentle tones of honey toasted oat, maple syrup and plum, backed by a chorus of alcoholic brightness and some nips of sugar. Round and enjoyable. Palate bulges with some hop matter and a crisp lemony sensation develops through the background. Heavily drinkable and a real stunner for the season right now.
