Aroma orange zest, banana, and clove. Pours ugly grapefruit juice colored with a decent head. Taste is subdued with bland orange pulp, banana and slight clove. Bland cardboard finish. Pleasant enough but forgettable.

UPDATED: AUG 5, 2013 04-Aug-13 (12-oz bottle: Free sample bottle for stewarding the 2012 World Beer Cup in San Diego, CA)
This beer pours a very hazy, golden body with half an inch of white head that settles quickly to a thin ring. The nose offers aromas of sourdough bread, orange zest, and coriander. On the palate, itís very bready with a readily apparent soured character. Orange peel adds a lot of flavor as well, but only very gentle bitterness, and coriander is mild in comparison. The beer is medium in weight and comes across as being a bit heavy for a Belgian White. Carbonation is medium, and though the beer isnít sweet, itís not exactly dry either, so this isnít the most refreshing and thirst-quenching examples of the style. Overall, this is fine, but thereís just too much of that sourdough character here. Itís certainly drinkable, but doesnít generate any enthusiasm for me.

rondphoto (1532) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - AUG 3, 2013
Hazy golden amber with a big head that drops to the rim, light streaks of lace. Taste is sweet wheat with the addition of pepper and citrus through the palate, slowly dropping off in a long non-bitter finish. It isnít hard to drink, but also isnít at all memorable.

Bottle from DiarmaidBHK - catching up on old ratings from Oct/Nov 2012 timeframe. Will add a review, eventually, tough this one was rather meh.

I don't really know why this is rated so low... I enjoyed the citrusy, key lime aroma, the appearance was OK, but the taste was pretty good compared to other wheat beers. Enjoyable beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Didnít know this was a Wit til I got on here. Would have guessed a Hefe, not an American wheat like youíd guess from the bottle label. Nice fruit nose and esters. Good in hot weather. Kind of has a bite on the side of the toung. Nice relaxing beer. Should be labeled as a Wit.

A - Cloudy grapefruit juice, with a small white head that sink pretty quick. S - Coriander, , a sugary bbq-like smoke aroma, green bananas, tangy yeast. T - Citrus hops, tangy wheat, key-lime is noticeable and adds a nice tartness. Slightly bitter and clean on the finish. M - Light bodied, active carbonation, slightly peppery on the tongue. A good amount of key limes blend with the yeast and spices to really make a different kind of Wit. Nice clean flavors. Serving type: bottle 09-12-2011

Bottle to half-pint glass (shared with the Mrs.; thanks burg326). Looks solid; a hazy burnt-yellow with thin white lacing. Smells of wheat, Belgian yeast, and lime with a touch of spice. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Not a bad witbier .

From bottle. Pours a hazy golden with a nice big head. Aroma has spices, lime and that Belgian aroma. Taste follows with a nice lime peeking through.
