Bottle from Total Wine. Dark straw pour with off-white head. Hops and citrus and caramel malt in the nose. Flavor is pale malty, citric, with some tangerine notes, and a tad watery palate. Mediocre, but i would drink this again under certain circumstances, sweating my ass off being one of them.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 shigadeyo (2399) - Harrison, Ohio, USA - JUL 11, 2009
Unknown Date (2007?): Golden coor + mild carbonation + quicly diminishing white head + aroma of honey pale malt + flavor of palt malt + dry + light body = Key West Sunset Ale. Nothing to write home about...
12 fl. oz. bottle (sample). Rating #169 for this beer.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 MrRoss (646) - Delta, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 7, 2009
Bought it as a "traveller" (plastic cup and a brown paper bag for the bottle) so I could drink it on the street while walking back to my cruise ship on a VERY hot day. Could’ve had a Bud; this was better plus a good addition for my bottle collection. Would have another any time.

UPDATED: JUN 12, 2009 Poured an amber color with very little head. Had a light caramel aroma with light caramel and malt flavors. As is the case with most beers of this style, this one was a very forgettable beer.

In a beer wasteland like key west, we had to try this because it was different than Miller light. It was pretty bitter, with very little perceivable esters, almost lager-like. Medium-low body, really not that good.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 pineypower (1827) - Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA - APR 26, 2009
Had on tap multiple times on my recent trip to the Keys. Pours out a somewhat amber color with a small white head and a decent caramel aroma and slight grassy hops. Taste is mostly caramel, some slight citrus notes and a bit bready, works for a hot day in the Keys, but nothing outstanding. Worst part is that it is called Key West Sunset, yet its brewed about 400 miles north.....

BOTTLE: golden pour, light wheat and citrus nose and taste, slight dry/bitter on the aftertaste. Doesn’t suck - good on a hot day.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 DalzAle (1466) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA - MAR 24, 2009
Bonus bottle from Daknole. Golden pour, very little carbonaton and a little generic malt aroma. Flavor is light wheat, a little citrus and slightly bitter on the aftertaste. I can see myself enjoying this with seafood.

On tap somewhere in Cocoa Beach...obviously drank too much that I can’t remember where I was. This one wasn’t bad. Wasn’t very good, but I don’t mind supporting local brews. Malty mostly, but hops lingers around..like the guy who was hanging around under the pier, even after we asked him to leave...those horrible beady eyes.....
