3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 tennisjoel (1111) - Rochester, USA - FEB 6, 2006
Tasted on tap at Outriggers on Fort Myers Beach. Aroma is pretty non-existent, although that could be because I of the plastic cup it was served in and the fact that I was sitting outside at the Tiki Bar. Appearance is an orange red color, similar to the setting sun off in the distance. Wasn’t overly impressed but I did detect almost an apricot flavor well hidden among some light hops and maltiness. This at least kept me interested and gave it a unique flavor. It was the best of the worst with other options being bud, bud light, and miller lite. The bartender from Pittsburgh told me if I liked this beer to try Yuengling lager, which in his opinion was slightly better and could be purchased at the nearest Publix grocery chain. Slightly better doesn’t make me jump out of my seat to make a special trip, if you know what I mean.

Drinkable summer beer. Where are the hops?? Definite caramel. Only memory is to not drink again.

Thin off-white head, fading to minimal. Clear orange amber color, bit of lace. Lighter, crisp carbonation. Drier texture. Nice, fresh citrus sweet taste. A little zest. Hint of citrus hops, some caramel malts. Non-beer-nerd friends I shared it with enjoyed it more than I did. I think it’s a decent amber, but amber is just a typically boring style for me... no "pow"

This is a throw away beer. Great for tipping one back on vacation but there’s nothing special about this beer outside of saying it’s local when you’re in the islands.

I thought I was drinking a wheat beer until I started reading the label. It had some "Wheat" charateristics and a sutble sweetness. Definitely lacking in the hops department. It is hard for me to rate this style of beer because I despise it so much.

Barely drinkable swill, only outpaced by another beer I had on vacation in the Keys, Harpoon’s UFO.

12oz bottle. Poured an amber color with very little head. Had a light caramel aroma with light caramel and malt flavors. As is the case with most beers of this style, this one was a very forgettable beer and drin pour.
