I suspect this is really Icehouse that did not turn out right. The only discernible aromas are alcohol and aluminum. The taste is some heavy funky grain, mildly sweet, and not finishing clean or well. Thankfully the carbonation is light or this could be substituted for syrup of ipecac. Overall: reserved solely for transients and high-schoolers.

Can: Another unfortunate tick, courtesy of beer league hockey. Same old, same old, here. Nothing new. Smells like a steel processing plant. I swear there are notes of machining oil in the background. Grain, skunk, astringency. Tastes very grainy, very sharp, metallic. Gets a cloyingly sweet corn character as it warms up just a few degrees. This is pretty goddamn putrid.

1.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
A-Sweet, corn, cereal, subtle apple.
A- Golden color, clear liquid, white head.
T- Corn, cereal, water, sweet, subtle apple, skunky.
P- Light body, average texture, high carbonation, sweet corn finish.
O- Bought this in hopes of rating it the only possible score I have yet to fulfill, a 0.6. Much to my surprise, while this was pretty awful, it wasn’t that bad. Had a really nice head on it and the aroma was fairly decent. Otherwise it was as expected. Something about pale lagers really upsets my stomach. Not trying to sound pretentious but it must be the extremely high carbonation.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Can at home purchased at Walmart. Pours golden yellow with two fingers of white foam. Aroma is corn. Flavor is indistinct. This is a drinkable lawnmower beer. Not as bad as the ratings suggest, even relative to the style.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
24 oz can to pint glass (shared with the Mrs.). Pours a completely transparent corn gold with white head that steadily dissipates into thin lacing. Smells cheap and skunky with what seems like a corn presence. Tastes like it smells with a green apple presence in place of the corn. (Note: the green apple presence emerges on the nose as it warms). Average (at best) on the palate. Not good, but I’ve certainly had worse.

1.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Poured from a 22 OZ can into a pint glass. this has no true beer aroma.
The color is a golden yellow and the taste is grain or corn infused carbonation. This beer is made for one thing, drink a few to forget the day, well: there is always the Christmas gift for someone you don’t really care for.

"better than other Keyestone’s only cuz it’s stronger, and the alcohol covers up a tiny bit of the bad taste that will undoubtedly stay in you’re mouth for far too long. yuck."

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
I LOVE this beer! It’s crisp and refreshing. Color is slightly darker than most domestic lagers. It actually says "ALE" on the side of the can. Suppose they use ale yeast?
Refreshing when you don’t want a thick heavily hopped beer. Gives a good buzz, whereas KEYSTONE LIGHT you must drink at least 6 cans to even get a slight buzz. Keystone ICE goes down easy.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pilsener glass for the review but have had this more than enough times over the years out of the can.
The appearance was a clear yellow color with lots of carbonation bubbles seen rising. The head was about a finger’s worth of white bubbliness that just died without leaving any lacing whatsoever.
The smell had an "iced corn" that comes across fairly sweet.
The taste was sweet with nothing really off.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a decent sessionability about it.
Overall, hey, not as bad as I had thought. Definitely, one of the better "iced" pale lagers.
