Draft @ Delirium Hoppy Loft.

Bottle, gift. Pours straw coloured. Spicy, sweet nose, immediately something metallic comes with the palate and doesn’t go away. Finishes a bit yeasty and more spices. Not very pleasing.

Bottle 330ml from Purvis Cellars. Masterpiece, very well balanced. Aromas of butterscotch, caramel, grain, and citrus. Taste has sweet and bitter notes, with very long length. Palate is creamy, and full bodied. Amber, with a frothy head.

33cl bottle, in a tulip glass. Pours a pale hazy gold, with a frothy white persistent head. Smells of citrus. A light sweetness, with a hint of bananas. Medium body, very carbonated and sticks with you.

330ml bottle (as Keyte Oostendse Tripel 7.7%), beersofeurope.com. Lovely light bread/yeast aroma, very tangy texture and palate, which becomes quite bitter very quickly. For such a pale beer there’s a surprising hint of sour cherry, which counters the semi-sweet banana taste. Lots of carbonation, with plenty of fizz on the tongue. Lots of body, the alcohol is fairly apparent.

Bottle. Pale, hazy gold with a white foam. Aromas are lemon and yeast with floral notes and woody notes. Flavours are bready yeast with caramel and lemon. Bitter lemon with peppery notes. Honeyed sweetness with a peppery finish. Decent Duvel-like brew.

Bottle. Light golden, hazy, small to average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate, malty – some wheat and sweetish aroma, some fruitiness and faint spiciness. Body medium, malty – some wheat and sweetish flavor, light fruitiness and spiciness. Finish is average, malty- some wheat and sweetish, some fruitiness and peppery spiciness, faint alcohol and hoppyness. Fruity and sweetish tripel. OK, but nothing special.
