Dark brown. Light brown head. The aroma has lots of brown sugars and raisins. Nice kvas. Balanced and well-made. Good kvas.

Can at GBF. Cloudy reddish brown colour with an off-white head. Sweet, syrup, ryebread, honey and hay. I actually liked it.

Sampled from can at Gothenburg Beer Festival 2011. September 2, 2011
Pours dark brown, thick and syrupy, almost like oil, no head. Aromas of plums, jam, syrup, honey, nots, grains and malt. Very bread-like malt character. Creamy and thick, very sticky. A nice interesting low alcoholic that I imagine would go great with deserts. I look forward to trying more Kvass!

1.5l bottle. Clear chestnut brown colour, small white head. Bready, slightly fruity nose. Slightly sweet, pleasantly bready with caramel, wholemeal biscuits and raisins, some plums also. Nice summer "beer".

Draft @ Schelkunchik, St. Petersburg. Rich dark brown color. Aroma of liquid bread, lightly effervescent. The flavors are all raisin. Super-sweet. Too sweet for me overall, but it tastes pure.

500ml can. It pours with a fizzy brown/tan head that quickly dissipares with no lacing. The smell isn’t bad. It is chock full of rye bread and raisins, not much else, but it isn’t offensive. The flavor is again, rye bread and raisins, this time with a kick of sugar/caramel. It has a highly carbonated dry/tart mouthfeel. It is a bit sweet but other than that it is pretty easy to drink. My first Квас, definitely looking forward to more. Serving type: can Reviewed on: 01-25-2011 20:31:47

50cl can from mix markt, lisbon. Ok, this is quite a moment, my first kvass ever. Let me breathe before I taste this. Color is very dark copper to black. Head is very thin. Carbonation is not that high. Taste is medium sweet and salty. Aroma is rye, caramel, sugar, bread and butter toast (jeeeeezzz).

A: The pour is a nice mahogany color with absolutely no head. S: I had zero expectations of this coming in, but the nose put me off right away. A strong note of prunes and a noticeable sweetness. A bit of an herbal smell that I pick up with some of these "traditional" beers (ie. Sahti, Gruit). T: The flavor is quite sweet and cola-like, especially up front. The dark fruit and plenty of sweet prune juice follows. In retrospect, it’s more along the lines of Dr. Pepper. M: The body is semi-syrupy with a low carbonation and medium body. D: I tried this because I was interested in trying the style, but I do not have any burning desire to try it again. I just was not a huge fan of this one.

Can. Dark brown body with a small head that disappears completely. Bready aroma. Taste has more bread and some raisins. It’s not as sweet as many of these commercial "kvass" drinks are these days.

Draught at Schelkunchik, St. Petersburg. Clear dark brown, no head. Aroma of lingonberry and rye bread. Underlying sweetness counteracted by a tartness. Light bodied with clean mouthfeel. Lots of rye bread, no bitterness. Refreshing, especially for a Baltika product.
