My dear mother brought this liter plastic bottle from Ukraine: Pours golden with some white head. Aroma is grain, sugar, malt liquor, but not really that boozy. Taste is actually not bad. I was thinking that this was going to be way worse. Alcohol is well covered. It gets kind of bad towards the end, but is still tolerable. Lucky Ukrainians who get to drink this crunk juice.

Bottle @ Yespr tasting.
[thank you, faroeviking]
Pours a clear pale yellow with a smalle frothy white head. It disappears quickly. Aroma is surprisingly mild with light hay and grass, but also some alcohol. Lively mouthfeel, but rather thin. Flavour is, like the aroma, not very powerful, and I can’t feel that much alcohol. Light sweetness with malty bread and light grassy hops coming through.

omhper (19667) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - NOV 18, 2007
Bottled -PET. Pale golden, creamy head. Sweet and fruity with unexpected notes of menthe to accompany the more expected alcohol aroma. Medium bodied with a highly neutral flavour. Unintrusive and mild. For those that aim to get drunk fast this is a good alternative.

larsga (6240) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 2, 2007
Medium white head. Deep yellow body. Dense malty mealy aroma. Sweetish mealy papery malt and alcohol taste. Mild and a bit stale. Soft and clean mouthfeel. Faintly hoppy aftertaste. Boring and vaguely unpleasant. (1l PET bottle from some produkty in Lviv.)

Papsoe (25085) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 12, 2005
(Bottle 200 cl) Pretty, clear amber golden, but basically no head. Malty, lightly caramelish aroma. Lightly sweet malt with roasted notes and a rather short, dry bitterness. The alcohol is surprisingly well hidden for a lager. A lot better than feared. 121005

Very hazy light golden color. Diminished off white head. Lightly floral hops aromas seem to dominate. Some sweet corn syrup scents in the backdrop. Thicker feel that is quite slippery with plenty of tiny bubbles to help from getting to cloying. Yep, another euro malt liquor. Grainy flavors with a mild white grape sweetness. Some floral hops in the front with a general biting bitterness in the finish. THe bite seems to be somewhat alcohol induced as well. Slightly better than your average european strong, but only very slightly.

A surprisingly good Ukrainian-produced beer, not readily available even in Ukraine. Good appearance, good aroma, and taste. Recommended.
