3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: APR 27, 2014 On tap at Johnny Farinas.
Pours a medium amber with a soapy white head leaving considerable lacing as drunk.
Aromas of hoppy citrus mixed with wet cereal.
Taste wise I’m getting a decent blend of hops and malts with definite orange peel on the swallow and after taste.
Nice and goes well with the Kitchesippi beer pie I’m eating it with.

on tap at pub italia, ottawa. clear yellow pour with a small white cap showing some retention and lacing. oranges and cream, faint citrus, partially fermented cereals - grainy sweetness, very spicy and peppery, dirty socks too. almost aggressive carbonation, light body, harsh medium long citrusy-peppery-spicy-piney finish. blah.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at BBB (Ottawa, ON). Amber body with a thin off-white creamy head. Decent malty/hoppy aroma with bready and herbal hints. Its sharp hoppy taste carries bready, malty, and some citrusy notes. Ends with a good bitter finish. Average IPA.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Enjoyed this one a few months ago at Pub Italia, on cask. Poured a hazy amber colour with a frothy beige head, great retention and thick dirty lace all-around. Spicy hop nose with apple notes and light caramel. Wet, medium-bodied with a little dryness in the finish. Mild fruity malt taste with the hop bitterness in the finish. Gets stronger as it goes. Kind of soapy hops. A pretty nice beer from Kichessippi that has more hop than usual and less grain for them.

Cask from Pub Italia. Pours dark straw, cloudy with a little head and lots of lacing. Nose grassy hops. Aromas of grassy hops some fruit, some light cereal malt. Mouth was creamy with medium carbonation. My favourite k beer to date, I think.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A hazed amber ale with a thick light mocha head. In aroma, caramel malt with nice floral hops, grassy and piney, surprising for a german hop. In mouth, biscuir malt with grassy hops, bitter and mineral, well made.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a copper brown with a small white head and small lacing. Aroma is wet socks with earthy wood. Taste is woody, small bitterness with a fair amount of bready malts. Pretty well balanced but not a hop that you want to showcase very much because the flavouring isn’t there. Also I believe Broadhead beat Kbeer to the punch in Ottawa let along Canada.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Growler from the brewery. Consumed the day after purchase. Dark yellow with a big thick white head - looks great. Dry fruity yet slightly minty aroma. Taste - this is one pretty interesting hop. Huge bitterness right off the bat but balanced well with creamy mouthfeel. I have never tasted this hop before - pretty extreme up front with huge fruity bitterness, but also a minty finish - very interesting. Balances well with this body - I thought the alcohol would clock in way higher. Retains some German characteristics in taste but that hop kicks it way up - not sure it is an IPA, but what it is is unique, interesting, and delicious Well done Kichesippi.
