3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A friend has a case of this stuff, so I tried one. Flip-top bottle (great for homebrewing!).
Golden and pretty clear with a decent head and lace. Aroma was grassy, herbal, slightly sweet. Flavor wasn’t bad at all, a nice herbal hoppiness and some grass, grains. Body is light and carbonation was medium. Not bad.
It’s hard to say whether this beer was at its peak, because no freshness date and the source was unsure. It wasn’t bad though, I’d like to try it again when I could be certain of its freshness.

Tap at Kieler Brau, cloudy light amber with a lacy head, light orange juice and floral nose, then a good lasting bitter bite, with some grassy and herby hops. Nice example of a North German Pilsener.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tap @ Kieler Brauerei. Pours a cloudy straw-golden-yellowish body with a small creamy off-white head. Aroma is almost non-existing. Hints of butter and some faint grains is all I can find here. Oily mouthfeeling and soft carbonation. Light sour flavor but nicely balanced and it’s leaving a mild hedge-bitterness in the finish. Solid pilsener!
