Pour at the Ontario Brewing Awards. Pale golden amber pour. The nose has a bit of odd vegetal character. A touch of light fruitiness and some lingering peppery character. Okay.

Can from the lcbo. Clear dark brown pour, with a small off white head. Aroma is caramel, lots if malts, and cereals. Light grassy hops, actually a tad malty I find for an alt, this is leaning towards a malty bock. Good mouth feel, and food carb. Finish is sweet, and bready, with decent caramels. A good beer but a touch malty for the style.

Where and how: OBA / can 473 ml
Aroma milder than most of alts. Nice hop notes, faint malt work. 7-
Appearance :
Top: mid lighter off white top.
Base: clear, light brown ale.
Palate : tad chewy, lighter carbonation.
Taste: not enough Noble hops, leave dark bread feel of an ale that happens to be dark .
Other notes pedestrian approach to style?

The beer poured a translucent reddish brown with a light tan short lived head. The aroma was caramel malt, grains, and weak yeast. The mouthfeel is medium full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is caramel, yeast, and tart grains.

473ml can. Clear amber in colour with a very thin white head, little lacing. The aroma is of caramel sweetness, some nuts, grainy. The flavour is toasty, grainy, some sweetness and a weird herbal thing going on. Finishes thin, watery, some light bitterness.

473 ml Can. Clear amber to brown pour, thin beige head, no lacing. Aroma is a malt affair, bread, maybe roast. Taste has a bit more cereal, and an okay resinous hop finish. Somewhat of a thin body.

Always on the look out for a new local brew. 473ml can from the LCBO. Nice colour with a decent head, a tad on the light side , but thats OK. Not sure if it fits the "Alt" catagory, a light ale is my best guess. Loved the flavour, nothing special , but not bad at all. Need more decent beer.

473 mL can. Cola brown with no head. It didn’t sound carbonated when the can was opened. And it has very little carbonation. Something ain’t right. No off flavours, though. Actually has a nice nutty maltiness to it, but it’s mild. Quite drinkable. Thin body though. Hopefully just a bad can.

473ml can from the LCBO. Non existent head on a body that’s the lighter side of amber. Aroma is some breadyness, a little skunkyness, a little earthiness and some wet cardboard. Excessively watery and light bodied, very very little carbonation, flat,

473 ml can from LCBO. Pours a clear dark copper colour with modest-sized off-white head. Aroma is caramel, light toast and a bit of mineraliness/spiciness. Flavour has a little more prominent toastiness, solid caramel/toffee maltiness and a bit of sort of pepperiness. Average body. Not the most exciting style but a solid brew nonetheless.

473 ml can from LCBO via my bro, served cold in a tulip glass.

App.: Clear(?) mahogany with a smallish-ashen head. Aroma: Some nice caramel/toffee malts, a bit of melanoidin, some solvent/pear drop (unfortunate), fairly fruity, comes off a bit more like a Scotch Ale than an Altbier... Palate: Medium body, somewhat sparse carbonation. Flav.: Bread crust, lots of melanoidin, caramel/toffee, very malty with minimal hop presence and somewhat less solvent/acetone (thankfully); almost dry with fair bitterness and a pleasant, melanoidin malty finish.

Not a complete success, unfortunately.
