It’s light and pretty watery tasting. Quite refreshing after a hot day on safari in Tanzania (which I when I had it). Not a beer to want to drink a lot of as the taste is quite weak but acceptable enough when nothing else is available.

Pours pale gold with a few little floaters. Frothy head. Slight carbonation visible. Head recedes slowly. Aroma of tin is present (canned beer). Sweet malt aroma, floral hops. Some DMS is present Grainy, sweet taste with a dry finish. Definite hops bitterness. Very well balanced. Very slight diacetyl. Crisp. Medium bodied, with a slight carbonation bite on the tongue. I would happily drink this in large quantities! 330ml Can, Poured.

Can: Medium sized fluffy sticky and quick disappearing white foamy head on top of a clear yellow colored beer. Aromas of dust, malts, paper, cardboard. Flavours of porridge, cream, malts, barleys, something yeasty, herbs, dust, grains, corn. Aftertaste is bitter, light dry, malty, grains and herbs. Low carbo, soft creamy mouthfeel, low to medium body and a light creamy texture.

Bottled gift from a swede at work.Pours clear weak golden with a big fast diminishing white head. Aroma of sweet corn, dusty hops. Taste is moderate sweet, but there is some hops here, providing a nice dry end. Some sour metallic notes at the final.

Dar es Salaam, TZ. Probably the best beer made in Tanzania for my money. While I would probably not drink it back stateside it has some decent qualities that show some distant German brewing heritage. If your spending a hot day in Dar I would look for a 22oz of Kili to cut the humidity. Just remember to order it "biridi" - otherwise you’ll be stuck with a beer that’s the same temperature you are.

500ml bottle. Pours a clear medium gold, with a small white head which vanishes quickly and leaves little trace. White bread, corn and faint, nondescript hops create the aroma. Some faint grassy hops, a truckload of adjuncts and some mild white bread make for a fairly uninspiring lager. Nevertheless, after 39 hours of flights and transit it still went down well. Any port in a storm and all that.
