1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
500ml bottle. Pale golden body with a white head. A slightly hint of malt in aroma. Flavor is light malty, grassy and sweet & sour. Not even a nice thirst-quencher in the tropical heat.

0.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
UPDATED: AUG 7, 2007 Bottle... RBSG 07... Clear, not-quite-straw-colored lager with absolutely no head (I poured really hard). Honey and skunk aroma. Tastes like sugar water with a pinch of salt. No hops. Light-bodied and watery with no carbonation. Sweet, watery finish. Kudos to Nuffield for daring to bring this to Minnesota! Iím pretty sure itís my first rating of a Tanzanian beer.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Sampled at the RBSG í07 Grand Tasting room, supplied by Nuffield. This could be interesting to try a beer from the other side of SABMiller. Pours a clear golden pale blonde brew with a thin white head that qickly dissolves to a white ring. Aroma is multi-grain, grassy/hay hops and a bit of sour yeast. Taste is like a spoonful of Del Monte creamed corn with salt, and a touch of caramel. Finish is slightly musty bitter and then clean. At least I can check off Tansania from the sampling list.

0.9 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
A bottle supplied to me by my faithful friend John, whose mother does a good bit of traveling. Thanks! Shared at the RBSG 07. Thin yellow. Is it offensive? Some people said no, but I differ. Itís actively bad, mostly with a sensation of being salty--like a light gose. Bitter finish, thin flavor.

0.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
RBSG 2007 Grand Tasting. Clear pale yellow body with a small white head. Funky grain aroma. Salty grain flavor. The only thing good about this is that I picked up a new country. Easily the worst beer of the night.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
RBSG 2007. My first Tanzanian beer. Pours to a pale yellow body with a thin foamy white head. The aroma is grainy and corny. Typical pale premium lager. The flavor is creamed corn and pale malts with lager yeasts. The palate is sweet and smooth. Non-offensive.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Sampled at the RBSG 07 Grand Tasting. A new country was the best part of this beer. No skunk aroma or head for that matter. Light yellow color. Lagery taste with some nasty funk.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: AUG 11, 2007 Meh. A new country anyway. Shared by Nuffield at RBSG 07. It is actually an interesting beer. Light yellow color and standard lager aroma, but a very salty flavor like a gose. Quite a unique tropical lager. I would drink this again.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Straw with a huge, white head. The aroma is sweet and malty with light floral notes. The flavour is sweetish with notes of caramel, flower, malt and a very light bitterness in the finish. Itís an uncomplicated and quenching beer. Thank you so much Richard, for brining this one back to me - a new country! 2302
