Reds were my favorite til I started learnin beers. This is still an excellant red but just an average beer as the percentile shows. Everyone I know that likes reds considers this the best. It just doesnít compare to the beers Iíve been reviewing.

If it doesnít work, donít force it. That is good when working with fragile parts and reviewing beers. I want to like this, but I also wanted to like Billy Madison.

amber colour with lace, only a bit of head. Light mouthfeel, creamy and on dry side. Not much taste, but quaffable, in fact quite smooth. Good amount of malt and some carmel. Decent aftertaste though drying. Session ale.

On Tap. Poured a dark amber with a small head. Malty aroma, but it was tough to tell with all the damn smoke. Had a roasted, caramely flavor. Iíll have to try this again in a different setting.

Dark beer with foamy white head. Ordinary smell with most beer. Roasted malt flavor. Very pleasant to the tongue, a must at european Irish pubs!

This beer has a amber body - hue apperance and a coarse white scum collar. I have drunk the beer from the bottle and it had no carbonic acid. The initial flavor taste is very moutig.

Draft. Light and sweet maltiness. The thick and lasting head gives a creamy taste and feel in the mouth. For a ultra-comercial beer, this is quite all right!

UPDATED: DEC 9, 2011 Bottled. Chestnut pour with a rocky eggshell head. Reeks of sweet malt, tastes the same with a dash of liquid toast (probably from roasted malt). Ends bitter with a slice of semi-metallic harshness. Creamy, dry, and relatively pleasant, but dumbed-down. [2.9]
Re-rate in late 2011 brings grassier and danker nose notes, heavy moist grains in the direction of the mash. Rest of the old review holds, light body with caramel malt pushing toward cracker. Thereís a reason I seem to only drink this abroad. [2.5]

An aroma that is ok, but not proheminent, the appearance is simply extraordinary...in a glass you can see the three stage of color...the beer is creamy and soft. For those of you who have problem to drink bitter beer, try this one, you wonít be dissapointed.
