notes taken during last week dark reddish brown color head is a thick, creamy, smooth brownish layer smells malty, some citrus tasts slightly like roasted caramel, some very hidden plum aftertaste some burnt caramel, some bitterness tasts much lighter than expected seeing the color, could have stronger tasts, but is rather smooth in mouth

I have found my little piece of heaven with Kilkenny. I am a real fan of dark beers and at first taste Kilkenny did not seem to measure up, but now it has become my beer of choice. Smooth, understated taste.

Tap at the Shamrock in St. Petersburg. Poured copper red with a large creamy white head... obviously nitro-induced. Faint caramel and butter aroma. Taste is very light caramel, little hop flavor. Watery nitro body. Blah.

on tap at "Carlsens Skvatter" (Odense) Mahogany brown with a fine creamy head. However the texture is also like in guiness basically watery. Low carbonation. Finish is quite malty and anonymous!

Can from the LCBO. Creamy brown-red colour. Creamy white nitro head (I’m not a fan of nitro). no carbonation. Sweet caramel aroma. Medium body. Creamy and roasted malt flavour with caramel and some bitterness. Not my favourite brew.

This beers very creamy. It has a creamy head, reddish color and the aroma is very caramelly. This beer is a bit dry, but I think its okay.

Can. Pours wonderfully mahogany brown-red with stying creamy head. Aroma is roasted and caramelly with slight hints of berries. The dry taste adds to the caramel bitterness (not hoppy). Creamy mouthfeel.
