Deep brown color and a nice head. Great appearance. Light bitter. The finish is very short. Very smooth. Tried this from a can.

Toffeee flavour with a lovely, creamy head.
Unfortunately not as much taste as one could hope...

I used to like Kilkenny until my beer palate was trained. Now it doesn't do anything for me. It is thin in body and hoppiness doesn't really exist.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
30/3 draught(tap): Sweet malty caramel aroma. Clear amber liquid with a tight beige head. Smooth and full if drinking through head, otherwise fairly thin. Sweet malty taste, dark grains dont come through at all for me. Hint of bitterness to it, though it could do with a tad more.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Why on earth haven't I rated this before? I have had quite a few on tap and just tried one of the (new?) nitro cans (the tap version is obviously best, but the widget in the cans actually gives a lovely creamy head). A beautiful and pleasant Irish ale where the malty sweetness is well balanced by the dry bitter finish.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
(Nitro Can) Penultimate of by brother's birthday present. Copper/amber, deep colour, fake nitro head. Roasted malt, slightly spicy hop flavour. Very soft and tends on the watery side, although the flavours are well rounded, I suspect the widget (damn that thing) ruins most of whatever character was in here. But drinkable, yes. Thanks bro!

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draught version. Pours a red colour with a slow rising creamy head. Aroma is slightly nitogened. Taste is somewhat sweet, flat and malty. A bit flat for my taste but the smooth finish is nicely bittered.

2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draught. Red color, typical creamy head. Some nitrogen aroma. Not impressive, but at least smooth, a bit malty, with a correct balance of bitterness at the end. Lightmalt smoothness is the most evident feature.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draught version is very impressive: great copper color, big head, hints of sourness and light hops in the taste.
