2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
440ml Nitro Can from SuperValu (Ireland - Ł1.69):
Bland malts and a little sweetness from some brown sugar, there is a very faint and almost water like smell with some bitterness at the end.
Thick and quite creamy too before settling to a dark caramel brown colour with a very creamy, darkish white head on top that is about the width of a pinky and holds very well.
Bland with some malts and light caramel flavours and a sugary sweetness following this. There is a burnt toast and nutty flavour. The beer is quite bitter and very creamy.
Creamy with a medium to full body yet it still feels slightly watery. The beer seems quite bland and there is almost no carbonation with some small amounts of bitterness at the end.
Great looking beer when poured and settled but everything else about it was fairly average sadly. The aroma was bland and unexciting, definitely not an ale worth looking out for. I’m not sure if it would be better on draft and I’m not sure if I really want to find out either. It was drinkable and the nitro can was a plus.

Absolutely egy ivósör csodás krémes testtel es szolid háttérbe húzódó lélekkel

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Veiled dark copper Extra persistent, thick and creamy, half a finger beige head, lasting more that 20 minutes! Strong legs and a gorgeous pouring with amazing activity slowly revealing the beer.
Faint aromas and flavors of toffee, grainy toasty bread, nuts and floral spices with a hint of fruits. Sweet smell but a sharper crisp taste.
Creamy medium body and weak carbonation. Short and faint and quite clean finish with a roasted slightly bitter aftertaste.
Overall : Visually stunning and...poor in flavors. The craft is good with a nice freshness, but it’s a very soft beer that is overly accessible.

2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Nice aroma of malt and hay. Flavour is caramel, honey, earth, some floral. Very watery, which in some ways is good because otherwise it’d be too sweet, but it also means the other flavours are way too light. It’s like drinking scented water.

1.1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Good appearance, texture but there is a slight lack of taste.
Not exactly what I'd expect from the style.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
On tap 500ml in The Irish Harp, Berlin on 22nd Jan 2016. Not be having another one soon! Bland, cold and sweet. Looked a nice looking beer, a red hue to it’s body with a full, deep head. Downhill from there.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Dark clear ruby color with foam layer. The smell is a little ambery sweet. The taste has low carbonation, a moderate mixture of hoppy bitterness and a decent malty body. The aftertaste is calm and rather normal for a red ale. This is a very solid red ale/irish ale, but i suppose it has a little more carbonation from bottle or a better calibrated tap.

440ml can from supermarket. Pours dark red/brown with thick white head. Low carbonation. Aroma is ligh roasted malt, caramel, lightly hopped. Really light sweetness, medium bitterness. Creamy mouthfeel, but the taste/aroma is not that intense.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Appearance: clear pale to medium amber with one finger of dense ivory head, excellent retention and moderate lacing. (4/5) Aroma: muted, caramel, grassy, light earthy hops. (5/10) Taste: moderate-low sweet, moderate-low bitter. (5/10) Palate: medium nitro creamy body, moderate-low carbonation, short duration bitter finish. (4/5)
Well, nobody ever accused Diageo of being unable to make a pretty beer, that’s for sure - with a bit better definition in the lacing, I’d have given it full marks for appearance, especially with the characteristic nitrogen cascade. The body is similarly well done, with a pleasantly creamy texture and decent bitter finish. Unfortunately, though, structure is far and away the highlight of this story. The aromas are muted, presumably at least somewhat by the dense head, and are limited to slightly weedy grassy and earthy hops on a plain caramel base, and the taste is similarly uninspiring. Neither are bad, but they’re certainly a bit of a letdown by comparison to the appearance. (12/20)

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
One of my all-time favorites. A taste that is incomparable. A little sweet, a little bitter, a little creamy.
