2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
440ml Nitro Can from SuperValu (Ireland - £1.69):
Bland malts and a little sweetness from some brown sugar, there is a very faint and almost water like smell with some bitterness at the end.
Thick and quite creamy too before settling to a dark caramel brown colour with a very creamy, darkish white head on top that is about the width of a pinky and holds very well.
Bland with some malts and light caramel flavours and a sugary sweetness following this. There is a burnt toast and nutty flavour. The beer is quite bitter and very creamy.
Creamy with a medium to full body yet it still feels slightly watery. The beer seems quite bland and there is almost no carbonation with some small amounts of bitterness at the end.
Great looking beer when poured and settled but everything else about it was fairly average sadly. The aroma was bland and unexciting, definitely not an ale worth looking out for. Iím not sure if it would be better on draft and Iím not sure if I really want to find out either. It was drinkable and the nitro can was a plus.

440 ml can. Pours a reddish amber with a creamy, medium, long lasting, off-white, nitro head that laces. Sweet, roasted, caramel malt aroma. Flavour to match with a mildly bitter finish. Medium body with a creamy, oily texture and soft carbonation.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Perfectly acceptably Irish Cream Ale. Itís always creamy on draught (nitro) or from the can; non-nitro version tastes the same, but isnít as creamy. Deep copper color with a large off-white head. Toffee malt in the aroma and flavor, slightly nutty like almond with a bit of vanilla, tea, earthy/herbal hop notes in the finish. Medium-light to medium body; smooth and creamy. Very drinkable and quite easy to drink A LOT of considering it goes down to smoothly and is of low alcohol content. More a less a standard for Irish Ales as itís right on style and widely available.

Spina. Bevuta parecchie volte durante il periodo vissuto in irlanda, molto piacevole al palato, anche se forse di poco carattere.

On tap @Dublin. Nice dark amber colour with creamy white foam. Weak aromas of caramel and malts. Taste: caramel and roasted malts, bittersweet. Hint of hops. A bit flat and slightly metallic. Nothing special.

Bottle 33cl. Dark amber with a medium off white head. Aroma reminds me of wood, but thereís also malts and some hops. The taste is bitter with a special metallic undertone. Not too bad, but nothing special.
