UPDATED: JUN 22, 2008 I would say, this is definitely a good weekend treat. It is a tad overpriced in this country, but it definitely goes down smooth and very flavorful. Love the roasted malt flavor and is definitely a great beer from a macro brewery. The only thing I find unpleasant about this brew, is the metallic odor that is noticed prior to tasting, but it thankfully does not translate to the actual flavour itself.

Drank from a can, usually if I drink out of a bottle or can I give a three for appearance but this canís head exploded in such a way I am ashamed not to drink this from a pint. The aroma is almost nonexistent. The taste is light, toolight, tastes like it is watered down, but the finish has the characteristic irish red sweetness. A decent beer, Slŗinte!

On tap at The Blarney Stone, a cool nitro pour - a deep red with a thick creamy beige head. Oats, biscuit & ash - oh wait that is some dick smoking. Smooth bodied with a creamy caramel biscuit flavor and a bit of tangy citrus. Really nice middle of the road red.

Una ale irlandese, di buona fattura. Colore ramato, con riflessi aranciati, con poca schiuma ma persistente, aromi molto caramellati e fruttati, a tratti erbacei.

Pour from a 14.9oz can with nitro widget. Clear tawny ale with creamy nitro head and lacing. SUbdued aroma of sweet malts. Taste is a little sweet, not distinctively so, watery in the middle and finish. HInts of metal and hints of hops at the very end. Not much here...

Poured from can. Mild aroma of bread. Pours a clear reddish brown with white head. A very light bitter taste. Light body and slick texture. Mild and not as creamy as I expected.

0,5l can. Nice, coffee colour. Mild, malty aroma. Kinda watery and corn-ish. A hint of coffee. Long lasting, white head. Low carbonation, pleasant. No hops, little malt. This is just too bland and dull.

Amber color with a white head. Aroma contains alot of caramel and some dark fruit. The flavor is malty with some caramel and nutmeg showing up. Overall a good session drinking ale.
