On tap at Mrs Parma. Served a deep brown color with a nice tan head that fades to some lacing. Aroma of malt sweetness, fruity, caramel swetness and bit of nut. Taste of mild caramel, sweetness, to uch of fruit and nut. Mils bitterness and a clean finish. Medium body with a decent balance. Nice beer for the style .

Tap at déjàvu. Pours a deep copper with a tanned head. Aroma is sensational! Toffee, caramel, nutmeg and grapefruit! Taste is very chewy. Loads of caramel and biscuit malt along with a juicy grapefruit bitterness. Nice soft mouthfeel. Great session amber.

330ml bottle. Poured a garnet red colour with a foamy 5mm beige coloured head that retained OK and laced well. Low carbonation shown by a few medium sized bubbles forming trails. Aroma very sweet and very malty and with a trace of molasses. Taste very sweet and very malty and with a trace of roasted grain; no real bitterness. Light body, sometimes with a watery mouthfeel. Different; not a typical amber ale but nice none-the-less.

From a 330ml bottle on 10/5/2013. Pours a deep dark amber with a biggish head. Has an impressive aroma of toffee, caramel, rye bread and molasses. Flavour wise, it’s very malty and quite sweet, with the same features of the aroma present in the taste. The bitterness is modest, the body relatively full, and the carbonation medium. A rather good, quite meaty amber ale with lots of character.

Great aroma - very malty/chocolatey. Not a lot of head and pretty light on in terms of carbonation. Drinks easily and quite reasonably balanced. Makes a good first up impression but feel it may be a bit of a one trick pony that will not be well served by repeated tastings.
