1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 hotstuff (3249) - USA - FEB 12, 2004
Bottle. This beer formed a small sized white head that was creamy with fine-small sized bubbles that fully diminished. The body was semi-transparent with fast rising carbonation and a pale yellow hue. The nose was malty, lightly hoppy and sweet. The flavor was bitter and it had a lingering aftertaste that was unpleasant. The mouthfeel was fairly smooth. This was a light bodied beer with sparse lacing. I was unimpressed with this beer overall.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 jde123 (723) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - APR 6, 2005
A fairly decent selection, although very weak in all categories. Perhaps this beers best feature was its appearance, reminiscent of an amber ale.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 TBone (9433) - Pori, FINLAND - APR 3, 2005
Bottled (BB 08/2005)
Pale yellow, mostly vanishing white head. Sour, grassy, malty aroma. Grassy, malty and slightly sweet flavor. Boring.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Skip (206) - Indiana, USA - APR 20, 2004
Amber honey with a decent 3/4" head. The aroma is fairly good with a balance of malt and hops. Taste is thin.
1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 thedm (4126) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - FEB 13, 2004
This bottled brew poured a small head of fine to medium sized white colored long lasting bubbles that left behind a good lace. The body is carbonated hazy and dark yellow brown in color. It had a sweet lager aroma and an odd metallic mouth feel that was somewhat off. The flavor was metallic and malty. It was not a good brew, but it was also not an awful brew. I'll not voluntarily buy this one again while there are so many better brews readily available.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 JoeM500 (1894) - Crown Point, Indiana, USA - SEP 29, 2003
Pale yellow with clumps of 'wanna-be' head bubbles floating on top. Some corn in the nose, slight hint of grassy hop. Tastes surprisingly like Cheerios breakfast cereal, very dull. Some grassiness at the finish, as in the nose.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 jaymobrown (1457) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 27, 2003
Sweet whole grain flavors. Fairly harmless all around, but overall pretty lame.
0.6 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20 thehoff (569) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - SEP 8, 2003
Nice pale tan white body, no real head. Smell is subtle yeast. The taste is very bland--not good, like the moment before you puke. The terrible taste lingers well after you are finished drinking it.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 redlem (1213) - Ohio, USA - JUL 13, 2003
Clear gold color with a small white head. Pleasant grain aroma initially that turns more cornlike upon warming. The taste and aftertaste have an unpleasant grain taste and bitterness.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Schroppfy (2335) - Łódż, Warsaw, Poland; Michigan, Ohio, USA - JUL 5, 2003
Not horrible, by any means. Too sugary for a lager of the type, I think, but the aroma contains some bitterness and so does the close of the flavor, but it is a little thick and indistinct. Hey, it's summer!
