Bottled Kimmel Rigas Stiprais, golden with short malt aroma. Too sweet taste to be good.

UPDATED: DEC 17, 2005 Bottled. Had it as Kimmel Rigas Stiprais, 7%. Golden colour, huge white bubbly/foamish head. Kiwifruitish aroma. Sweet caramellish fruity flavour. Also some hints of alcohol in the flavour. Gives a bit oily mouthfeel. Could do with a bit more bitterness, as I felt it was too sweet for me. 6363 12

Kimmel Rigas stiprais (bottled.) 7%. Golden coloured, big foamy/bubbly head. Aroma is sweet caramel, fuit and alcohol. Flavour mainly sweet alcohol, fruit and caramel. Also some balancing hops, which makes the flavour quite good. Aftertaste is pleasant, but flavour while drinking not too good. 43539

Had this one labeled at "Riga’s stiprais", brewer is Kimmel so these must be same beers. Starts and ends with sweet malty taste, sweetness lasts very long in mouth. Hint of warming alcohol in palate. Too sweet for my taste, maybe some carbonation or hops would have done it.
