bottle, thanks to bu11zeye, clear amber pour with no foam, aromas of dry nuts and yeasty, flavors of nutty caramel and fruit
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 KajII (465) - Macon, North Carolina, USA - APR 27, 2012
Bottle. The pour was a cloudy medium red with some brown undertones and a large (2-3 finger) white frothy head that diminished quickly down to a thin cap and medium collar, producing fair sheets of lacing.
The aroma was of a mild bread malt, floral hops and a moderate dose of sweaty yeast with notes of apple, caramel and dark fruit (plums and cherries).
The taste was lightly malty and sweet with hints of caramel and apple from the start and sweetly acidic with a note of dark fruit and a good yeast presence at the end. The flavor hung on for a little while with a nice fruity wheat taste left behind.
Mouthfeel was a step above light in body with an oily dry texture and a lively carbonation.
Overall a brew that is very drinkable, and has a delightful mellow fruity flavor...
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 oobawa (593) - South Carolina, USA - APR 17, 2012
Kind of tastes like an Americanized Banana Bread Beer. Which seems odd for a red ale; I figured something along the lines of a yeasty Scotch ale, not a banana bomb. Said fruit dominates the nose; pouring the beer makes for a pretty pint, but buttered bananas grow a bit much to sniff every time you take a sip. The taste is drier than expected, but still yeasty and semisweet, with bananas at every turn. Some buttery undertones, with a mildly medicinal pine flourish on the fade. Not sure what this beer aims to be, but it could use some focus.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 ADesenberg (199) - Ohio, USA - MAR 9, 2012
Bottle: it’s red, with a small white head. Fruity and sweet aroma and a taste of a fruit with a slight bitterness. It’s not bad, drinkable but not as good as I was hoping.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 rlaw (826) - Alabama, USA - FEB 9, 2012
Bottle. Pours a reddish amber. Aroma and flavor are generically fruity, fairly sweet, touch of sour, some caramel. Not getting much in the way of a Belgian yeast. Easy drinking. Nice.
2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Palidor19 (2392) - Brandon, Florida, USA - FEB 1, 2012
this beer while good in concept has some major faults. aroma is vegital with not much else, the palate is nice with a defintie velvet flavor. the beer is malt with taste of clay and slight skunk. hops are in side with the beer its self. cant really recommed this.
3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 derekbrown (104) - Greenville, North Carolina, USA - JAN 29, 2012
Nothing special, but very drinkable. Not sure where the "Belgian" distinction comes from, but a very fruity taste. Again, nothing special.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 nick76 (3598) - Tampa, Florida, USA - JAN 25, 2012
The aroma is sweet with caramel, paper, and citrus hops. The appearance is light amber with a thin head. The taste is like the aroma with a metallic quality. The palate is thin. Overall this is pretty unimpressive.

On tap at Capone’s. Clear amberish color with a smaller sized head. Yeast, bready with some light caramel. Boring and nothing standing out.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Malty_MacHops (199) - Eastanollee, Georgia, USA - NOV 29, 2011
Not a bad beer. I don’t really see the "Belgian" in the beer. More akin to a low hopped American Amber or Killian’s. The aroma is malty with some caramel. The beer is a pale reddish brown. The flavor is mostly caramel malt with some light smokiness. The beer is slightly thin to watery. There is a very minor tartness to the finish. Not a good example of the style, but also not a terrible beer. What it lacks in complexity it makes up for in drinkability.

Bottle - bruisin ales - pours a clear burnt orange with a thin ring of off white head. Aroma is apple, pineapple, tangerine, malt, and jerky. Weird aroma for a red. Taste is smokey sweet with the jerky aftertaste. Overall weird.
