Wow, nothing pale ale like about this at all. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark chestnut color with a small foamy orange-tan head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweetish toffee, vague fruity hops, pine and plum. The flavor was bitter and sour nut, toffee, faint rough fruity hops and a bit of pine. Medium length bitter and sour nut, toffee and hops finish. Medium body. Alcohol fairly well hidden. Eh.
