Pours a hazy brown color. A candi sugar aroma wafts out of the glass. Alternately smooth and a little fizzy. Some nice sweetness in there as well as some caramel notes.

Draft. Mahogony beer with a small cream head. Yeast and dark fruit aroma. Yeast and banana flavor with dark fruit and light spice. Medium bodied. Yeast and banana lingers with dark fruit and malt.

Pours sort of a copper color with a khaki head. Sweet caramel, brown sugar, and dark fruit aroma. Good raisin, plum, and perhaps black cherry. Spicy clove and yeast on the back end. Taste is heavily sweet with lots of caramel, toffee, and brown sugar. Big dark fruit flavors of raisin and plum. Mild spice and a bit of yeast, and some alcohol on the finish.

Sample at the brewpub. This brew pours a dark brownish-amber color with a medium light beige head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel, dark fruit and yeast. Full-bodied and somewhat sweet with flavors of caramel malt, ripe fruit and yeast. The finish is fruity with an earthy yeast aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
