3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 imdownthepub (7494) - Banbury, - SEP 13, 2004
Bottled, pasteurised (Bought from a Safeway in Somerset). Orange amber with a healthy head, still. Total surprise to fo find that this has not been rated before, probably new to the range of Hall & Woodhouse, Badger, King & Barnes, its getting quite confusing. Lovely balance to this though and a particularly fresh hoppy note for a pasteurised beer. Light malty and refreshing, a very nice bottled bitter.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 SilkTork (4738) - Rochester, Kent, United Kingdom, WALES - MAR 14, 2005
Sept, 2004: Bottled. Fresh and delicate flavours suggest that this has NOT been pasteurised, yet there’s no sediment. Cold filtered? Whatever - this is a spanking ale. Tastes like the cask version, but with a bit of harsh carbonation. Tasty stuff. [3.4]
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 rauchbier (3205) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - NOV 23, 2004
Bottle (K&B Ale), from York Beer Shop. Attractive deep amber bronze, good lasting fluffy white head and gentle condition. Good blend of biscuity malt and peppery hops in the nose, nutty at first in the mouth but with the hop character developing and dominating with time. Slightly thin and metallic but still pleasantly quenching. Finish has caramel and hop bitterness lingering. A good session beer.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 JonMoore (1573) - Loughborough, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - SEP 21, 2004
Bottle. Amber coloured beer, with creamy off-white head. Hoppy aroma. Lightly malty and hoppy taste. Medium bodied, reasonable mouthfeel, lightly carbonated. Quite tasty, not bad, just too weak (for me).
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 duff (5483) - St, Margarets, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 5, 2002
Good flavour for a beer with 3.5% alc. in it, but lacks the flavour i like, still easy to drink and pleasant.
